How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Thule XT Rooftop Cargo Box on our 2021 Nissan Murano. Adding a cargo box to the rooftop of your Murano is gonna help solve the issue of having limited cargo space. So something like this guy right here is gonna allow you to take advantage of that negative space to get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you for your adventure. As a Murano owner, you already know that your cargo space is pretty limited, so if you maxing out the back of your vehicle, adding on the roof box to the top is gonna be great, and then you can see that there's no interference with the roof box while the cargo hatch is open. Let's take a closer look at some of the features of our box. This is an extra large capacity at 22 cubic feet and it also is locking. more

This is a rooftop-mounted cargo box and we're gonna take a look at how it fits and where you should install this on your 2021 Nissan Murano. If you need some extra cargo space, a lot of people like to go with a rooftop cargo box because it's an enclosed carrier that gives you that extra space, but helps protect whatever you're storing. On the Murano, if you have this fully loaded with people, having your items up top is very helpful. Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we will be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box. That's part number TH636S. It has 22 cubic feet of space. It comes in a nice metallic silver finish. With our Thule Aeroblades already installed on the vehicle, we can go ahead and set our box on top. Once we get it on top, we'll want to go ahead and make sure that our clamps are open. Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano we will be test fitting the Thule Force XXL Rooftop Cargo Box, that's part number TH626. It offers 21 cubic feet of space, comes in a nice AeroSkin Black finish. With our Thule AeroBlades already installed on our vehicle we can go ahead and set our box on top. Now we go ahead and set it in front of our clamps, just like this. We'll go ahead and make sure that those are open. We can go ahead and slide it over our bars, making sure that our other clamps are open. We'll also want to make sure that our cargo box is all the way forward as far as it'll go to make for maximum clearance of our rear hatch. more

Today, on our 2009 Nissan Murano, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box. This box measures 22 cubic feet and is in color metallic silver, part number TH636S. To begin our test fit, we need to remove the rear antenna. We do this by simply unscrewing the antenna from its location. Well grab our cargo box and place it directly on to our cross bars. Since the feet hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our cross bars while placing our box on to our roof-rack. more

Today, on our 2009 Nissan Murano, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 13 cubic feet in glossy black, part number TH634B. With the factory roof-rack system assembled on to our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the Thule Sonic directly on to our cross bars. Since the feet already hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as needed to fit around our cross bars while placing the box on to our roof-rack. With the box situated the way we like, well open the passenger side of the box and tighten down our feet around our cross bars by tightening our hand knob. Well do this for both clamps on this side of the box. One of the great features of the Thule Sonic is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. more

With the factory roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by removing the rear antenna. We need to remove this in order to get the box to fit onto our vehicle. We'll grab the Thule Force and place it onto our crossbars. Since the feet are already hanging out of the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our crossbars while placing our box onto our roof rack. This box will come into contact with the rear hatch when opening, so it's good to go ahead and set the box as far forward as possible. more

Once we have the box situated the way we like, we can then open the passenger side of the box and tighten down the two feet on this side by tightening our hand knobs. One of the great features of this box is it's ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten down the two remaining clamps. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Murano we'll be test fitting the Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 rooftop cargo cox, 11 cubic feet in black, part number Y07193. One of the great features of the RocketBox is its ability to open from both sides. Since we'll be installing this on the passenger side of our vehicle we'll only need to access one side of our RocketBox. To begin our test fit we'll go ahead and place our carrier on top of our crossbars. Now we can go ahead and twist the key and press the red button to open up our cargo box. We'll go ahead and make sure that the clamps are around our crossbars and then tighten each of the red knobs on the inside. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Murano well be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro-14, Rooftop Cargo Box with 14 cubic feet, black in color, part number y07192. One of the great features of the Yakima Rocketbox is its ability to open from both sides. Today well be installing on the passenger side so well only be using one side of the box. Now with the roof rack already assembled onto our vehicle well start off our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicles crossbars. Well then slide the box back which will allow the crossbars to be in between the front and bottom brackets of the cargo box. There are four red T-handles we can use to tighten down each bracket to secure the cargo box to our vehicle. more

To begin our test-fit, well go ahead and place the cargo box on top of our crossbars. Then, we can go ahead and move the key to the unlock position, and open our cargo box. Now, well go ahead and take the clamps, fit them through the bottom of the box, so that way that the feet of the clamps are around our crossbars. Then, well use the gray hand knobs to tighten each clamp into position, securing our box to our crossbars. With that being done, we can go ahead and prepare to load our accessories and luggage. more

To begin our test-fit, well go ahead and set our carrier on top of our crossbars. Well move the key to the unlock position, and open our cargo box. Well take our clamps and fit them through the bottom of our cargo box, making sure that they wrap around our crossbars. Then, we can use the gray hand knobs to tighten this clamp, securing our cargo box to our crossbars. Once we have each of our clamps tightened, our box is now secured in our crossbars and were ready to start loading our luggage and accessories. more
