Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2013 Kia Optima- Video
Today on our 2013 Kia Optima, we'll be test-fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 11 rooftop cargo box, measuring 11 cubic feet in black, part number Y07193. With the Yakima round bar roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Rocketbox directly onto our crossbars. With the feet attached to the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our crossbars. With the box situated the way we like, we can move the key to the unlock position, push the red button, and open the lid of our box. We'll tighten the two hand knobs on the side of the box to tighten our feet around our bars. One of the great features of the Rocketbox is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. more

Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2013 Kia Optima- Video
Today on our 2013 Kia Optima, we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 22 cubic feet in metallic silver, part number TH636S.With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Sonic directly onto our load bars. With the feet hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our load bars. Once we have the box set, we can then open the passenger side of the box and tighten the hand knobs to secure the two feet on this side of the box around the bars. When you hear a clicking or ratcheting sound, that means that your clamp is tight around your bar. Another great feature of the Thule Sonic is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten the two remaining hand knobs. more

With the tule rapid reverse roof rack system assembled on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Sonic directly onto our load bars. With the feet hanging out of the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each load bar. Once we have the box set, we can open the passenger side and tighten the two hand knobs on the side of the box to tighten our feet around our bars. One of the great features of this box is that it lets you know when your clamps are tight around your bars, by making a clicking noise. Once you hear that, you're ready to move on to your next foot. more

Please keep in mind that this box opens from one side only, so for our video today we'll be setting it towards the passenger side for easier accessibility. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system installedonto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Pulsedirectly onto our load bars. We'll open the box and place our feet to the appropriate slots, making sure that they go around our load bars. Then we can use the attached hand knobs to tighten each one around our bars. With all four of those tight, our box is loaded up and secured and we're ready to go. more
