Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 11, a rooftop cargo box with 11 cubic feet of storage space in black. It's part number Y07193. With our Yakima rail grab roof rack system already installed on the Escape, we're going to begin our test fit by placing our Rocketbox directly onto our crossbars. We're going to slide it back, and while we do this we'll make sure that all 4 lower halves of our clamps go around the underside of our crossbars. We'll then open the passenger side of the box. We will reach inside and tighten the 2 red T-handles located closest to us. One of the great features of the Rocketbox Pro 11 is its ability to open from the passenger and the driver side. more

Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Ford Escape- Video
Today, on our 2014 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 13 cubic feet in glossy black, part number TH634B. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our box directly on to our load bars. Now with the feet hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each bar. We'll open the passenger side of the box and use the two hand knobs on this side to secure our feet around our bars. One of the great features of the Thule Sonic is its ability to let you know when each foot is secured around the bar. You'll start to hear a clicking noise to let you know that the foot is fully secured.One other great feature is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 22 cubic feet in metallic silver, part number TH636S. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing our box directly on to our load bars. Now with the feet hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each load bar. Well go ahead and set the feet back towards the box a little bit, that way our box will be secured to forward and wont interfere with our antenna or access to our rear hatch. Once we have the box in place, we can then open the passenger side of the box and tighten the two hand knobs on this side to secure our feet around our bars.One of the great features of the Thule Sonic is its ability to let you know when each foot is secured around the bar. When tightening, youll start to hear a clicking noise to let you know that its secured. more

Well move to the key to the unlock position and push up on the lid to open our box. Well place our feet through the appropriate slots making sure that they go around each load bar. Today on our 2014 Ford Escape we'll be testing fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box measuring eleven cubic feet in matte black, part number TH613. Now keep in mind that this box opens from one side only so we'll be setting it towards the passenger side for easier accessibility. We'll also want to make sure that we have the box set as far forward as possible that way it doesn't interfere with our rear antenna or access to our rear hatch. Once we have the box situated we can move the key to the unlock position and push up on the lid to open the box. We can then use the attached hand-knobs to secure them around our bars. One of the great features of the Maser Fit is it's ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, place our feet through the slots, and use the hand-knobs to secure them around our bars. With all four feet tight, our box is secured and we're ready to go. Here at the rear, you can see that we have full access to our rear hatch door and that our box does not interfere with our rear antenna. With the Thule rapid-traversed roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our box directly onto our load bars. Now with the feet hanging out of the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each bar. Once we have the box situated the way we like, we'll move the key to the unlock position and push up on the lid to open the passenger side of the box. We'll use the two hand-knobs on this side of the box to tighten our two feet around our load bars. One of the great features of the Thule Force is it's ability to open from either side of the box. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten down the two remaining feet using the hand-knobs. With all four feet tight, our box is secured and we're ready to go. Here at the rear, you can see that we have plenty of room between the back of our box and our antenna, which is also going to allow us to have full access to our rear hatch door.
