Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2014 GMC Yukon XL

Today on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL, we are going to be test fitting the Yakima Load Warrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. With the factory roof rack already on our Yukon, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo basket directly up onto our crossbars. Each of our clamp will have a T bolt located on one side. We'll remove the T bolt from the lower portion of our clamps then adjust our racks to the upper portions of our clamp resting directly on top of our crossbars. We can then bring the lower portion of our clamp around the underside, reinsert the T bolt and tighten down both wing nuts to secure the clamp in place. We'll repeat that same process on the three remaining clamps and just like that our cargo basket is secure. We can now load it with some gear and hit the road and we are going to take it out on our test course and let you see what it looks like in action. That will complete today's test fit of the Yakima Load Warrior, part number Y07070 on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL. . more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2014 GMC Yukon XL

Today on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL, we are going to be fast fitting the Thule Moab, a rooftop cargo carrier called the mother of all baskets, part number TH690XT. With our factory roof rack already on the Suburban, we'll begin our test fit with one of the carriage bolts and wing nuts removed from each clamp, we'll then place our cargo basket directly on top of our crossbars. As we do this, we want to line it up to the upper portions of our clamps are resting on top of our crossbar. We'll start from the front passenger side here. We'll insert the carriage bolt to the lower portion of the clamp, bring it up to the upper portion of our clamp and then thread on our wing nut. We can then tighten both wing nuts and this clamp down to secure it around our crossbar. We can then move to the three remaining clamps and repeat that same tightening process. With all four clamps secure, we'll now take the four black plastic covers, slide them over to the top pushing it down until they click into place. And just like that we are ready to load our basket now with some gear, attach a few accessories and we can get on the road. more
