Today we have a 2019 Grand Design Momentum fifth wheel Toy Hauler and we're gonna be taking a look at, I'mma show you how to install the Furrion tankless water heater. Now one of the biggest frustrations when you're camping is when you have a traditional tank water heater typically they're gonna be between 10 and 15 gallons. Well, when you have a shower or multiple appliances like our fifth wheel here has, that hot water can empty very, very fast and it takes a very long time for that water heater to heat back up to heat up all that water 'cause after all, if you use 15 gallons you're gonna have to reheat 15 gallons. A lot of people will take showers in their campers or do dishes in their campers just like they do at home. Well, this water heater in here is gonna be a fraction of the size of the one at your house. more

Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today, I'm gonna show you how to drain your hot water heater. There's four steps that you're gonna need to take when draining your hot water heater. The first is going to be, make sure you shut off all water sources and let your hot water heater cool down. Along with that, you're gonna need to turn off all of the power sources leading to your, or the switches leading to your hot water heater. So there's gonna be usually a switch on the outside on the hot water heater, and then a switch on the inside by your control panel. more

Hi there Forest River owners, today in your 2016 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite, we're gonna to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Furrion's tankless water heater. So if you've been on your camper and all of a sudden your showers are getting colder and you've noticed you just can't enjoy yourself the way you used to because it's so cold, more than often, it's probably your water heater that's gone bad, they go bad over time. When replacing one, there's a few things you'd wanna keep in mind and that's usually how much water am I gonna use was my old tank unit. Was that a big enough tank for me and everybody else that's in my camper And then of course you would wanna look at the energy efficiency. With a tankless unit, we can minimize the size of our unit here while maximizing the heat that we can deliver to our trailer. The tankless ones here should have no problem keeping up with the demand of everybody in our trailer here, so if you've got a larger family where that tank one, by the time the first two or three people got in the shower, that last one wasn't very happy about what he was left with. more

This is a 10 gallon water heater, so it's on the higher side of the capacity we generally see, and this one's going to produce up to 13.5 gallons of hot water per hour. It uses the auto re-ignite feature, so you don't have to get in there and hit any of the igniters or anything like that to get your hot water back and operational. And overall, these are very popular as a direct replacement for a faulty water heater that you currently have.
