Hello everybody this is Jeff at etrailer.com Today we're taking a look at this surface mount LED RV utility light, with a switch and a wedge base. Now this is a nice oval LED utility light, that'll illuminate your trailer RV's exterior with a nice bright white light, and it's at a downward angle when you install it using this wedge base. Now this could also be used as a head tray task light, and it's a very simple operation. Has the included on and off switch installed on it right here. It is a nice clear lens, has 4 white LEDs, and it mounts to the base with the mounting screws, so you can see the lens itself. When you put it into the base, the screws will go through the lens, and the base, to hold everything in place. more

Optronics LED RV Exterior Scene Light Review and Installation- Video
Hello everyone, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're going to take a look at the Optronics LED Exterior Scene Light. Couple of things that are nice about this light are going to be the fact that it angles down at a 45 degree angle with the LEDs. That way it gives you a wide field of view to light up anything that is in front of you whenever you're trying to load your trailer that way you're not tripping or stepping over anything.Also the size of it is going to be nice and big, but it's not too bulky. It's going to be a little about eight and three quarter inches wide and about three inches tall and it only sticks off the trailer about an inch and a half. So that's one thing that is nice with it being a little bit on the slimmer side.So when it comes to switching to an LED is going to be a great option that way you aren't spending money on bulbs or having to replace them and get up and down to replace those time and time again, it's going to be a great option to switch to this.Also, it's extremely bright at 1200 lumens. more

In my opinion, if you have any traditional bulbs on your camper and you're looking to replace them, replace them with LEDs because this isn't going to need to be replaced near as often as your typical bulb. It's going to last around 50 times longer, and it's going to work with any 12 volt DC system. You can do it pretty much any different way, meaning you can install it upright, like I have here, if you like the looks of that. Or you can install it sideways because it does have somewhat of an angle down. more

I think this is going to be a really nice way to light up the area out here. You know, with this one, this one gets used to haul all kinds of different stuff, ATVs, landscaping stuff, and this is just going to give us an area to see at night and light up the entrance to the trailer, but especially on RVs and kind of light up the front steps or that porch area where you're hanging out. Now, this led light is going to be a really nice upgrade compared to an incandescent light. Incandescent lights are great. They do a good job of lighting stuff up but putting them in a trailer, with the vibrations on the filament and those bulbs, they tend to break often.So the LEDs are going to last a lot longer. more

But as you can see, we have it on an enclosed trailer, so it works out great for an enclosed trailers utility light, but we have ours up by the door, so it's kind of serving the same purpose. I like that it's an amber light. It's still going to illuminate the area that we need by our door or our patio area, but it's not going to attract as many bugs.Now when it comes to replacing or adding new lights to your trailer, I think LED is the way to go like this. I think that not only are they going to last longer, those incandescent lights, they may be a more affordable option, but over time the filament in those bulbs are eventually going to break or burn out, and you're going to be replacing them a lot more often than you will, these LEDs. So they also have a, I think a more modern look, in my opinion. more

With this being a porch light, I have it tied into a switch on the inside of my trailer so I can turn it on and off from right here in the kitchen. But if you had this as a utility light somewhere else, you can also run it to the same system and have switches. But if you want it to just be more isolated, as long as you have power, there are options where there's a switch underneath it and you can just turn it on and off in that very specific location.When it comes to adding a light on or especially replacing one, I like that this is LED. more

This is going to be an amber design, so this is going to do a good job of lighting up an entryway to a camper, but it's also not going to be overbearing with the light. I like the amber look, I think it looks good. What I like most about it is that we have this switch so we can shut it off if we have it tied into another set of lights, or we can simply just slip it on right there with a switch and we can have everything lit up.Now, this is going to be an incandescent light, so it's not going to be maybe as bright as an LED, but I think that this is still going to be a really good option for you, especially if you're just replacing an old light, the rest of your other lights are incandescent. Now, the LEDs will last a little bit longer, will be brighter and maybe has more modern look, but these are going to be a really cost effective way to replace or add an existing light on.Now, we talked about how it has this switch here, but we also have ours tied into a light switch on the inside, since it's our porch light, so this is going to be a really versatile light. With the amber design, I kind of like it up higher a little bit. more

This is going to be just a nice oval light, does have an on and off switch so you can turn that off at the source or you can also wire the pigtail here into a switch across the room if you want to and operate it from that if you would like.But it's just an easy-to-use light. It's kind of coming apart from my little ground clamp there, and it also comes with the hardware to get this mounted in place.So you can see this is going to have a acrylic snap-on lens and then the base is going to be an ABS plastic, so it's going to be a slightly more durable plastic. It's more resistant to scratches and abrasions than your typical plastic. So it should last for a long time.As far as the size, flip it over, it's about six and a quarter inch long and just about three and a half inches tall with that switch, that toggle switch, at the top. more

Now this LED light will function as an RV porch light or utility light, produces a bright light at a downward angle. Now these lights are going to be a great addition in a lot of different areas, whether it's out at the camp site, maybe out in your garage, walkways to and from. Basically it has a lithium ion battery, solar panel on the top portion that charges that, and then when the light outside gets under 30 lumens, it's going to become active.Now there's a couple settings we can use there depending on what your needs are. We'll go through those in just a minute, but all in all, it's going to be an excellent solution to get lighting where you need it. Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Gustafson RV Scare Light. This oval light illuminates the side of your RV or camper to scare intruders. This can also be used as like the standard RV porch light, which because of the nice angled design of the unit, it is designed to cast light at a downward angle. So you can see the angle design, meaning that the top portion here is thicker and then the bottom portion is a little bit more narrow, so it does shine the light at a downward angle a little bit. It's a really nice design. We have a black plastic base with a clear, acrylic lens. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Diamond solar powered LED outdoor RV light. This is a motion activated light. It's going to be waterproof and have a max out put of 800 lumens. This is going to be a really unique design LED light to provide solid lighting for any outdoor use like at the camp site, on your RV or on camper. It does have this two solar powered panels up at the top to provide the power to your light. Any excess power that those generate will be stored in the lithium batteries that it does come with, has two that are in these compartments on the back.If you ever need to change out those batteries, you can just push that little panel down and remove it, exchange it. more

This is going to be a really easy to use, really easy to mount light. It's going to have the solar panel up at the top there, light at the bottom and your motion sensor is this globe right in the middle.This is going to be weatherproof. It is IP rated for IP65, so that means it's going to be completely dustproof and waterproof for weather. You don't have to worry about any snow, rain or anything getting in here. more
