Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Grand Design Reflection 5th Wheel, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Solera Slide Out Awning. But before we get into that, let's take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right setup for you. The whole purpose of these slide out awnings is really simple. More or less, whenever you have your slide outs opened up, they're vulnerable to getting moisture and debris and stuff inside, right, 'cause it'll sit on top without an awning here, it'll sit on top of the slide out. You know, water can leak in, but what tends to happen is when you open and close it, it'll bring that debris in with it, eventually kind of tear your seals up, so on and so forth. more

Today, we have a 2022 Forest River Roo Travel Trailer and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the replacement Solera Awning Roll and Fabric. Now, there's a few different reasons why you would need to replace just the fabric and the roll of your awning. Typically, if you're not dealing with a storm setting, you're just gonna need to replace the awning and the roll itself. If you're dealing with a storm, chances are you're gonna need a whole new kit and we do have those available on our website. But if you're in the same case as we have here, they ended up needing new arms before this, but then came back and decided that they wanted to go ahead and replace the fabric and the roll tube. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad from etrailer and today we are at Worldwide Technologies Raceway and I'm here with Tyler. He's got an awesome enclosed trailer and dual Solera awning setups. So being out on a racetrack how crucial is having something like this It's big, you know, I mean especially here at Worldwide, I mean, everything's asphalt which we love, you know, working on these cars all day you wanna be on asphalt, but it gets really hot, you know, especially in July and August and summertime and having two awnings that you can just flip a switch they run out and you got shade all day. I mean, it can cool you down to 25 degrees it feels like. And, you know, racing by myself too, having electric awnings, like the Solera where you can just, like I said hit the button and roll 'em out. You're not spending hours, you know, setting stuff up and stuff like that. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Solera Slide Topper. Now the biggest benefit of adding a slide topper to the top of your slide is going to be to keep the elements and leaves and all kinds of debris off the top of your slide. A lot of manufacturers do not include them when they produce the RV and you might be looking for a replacement for one that may be broken or damaged on your current RV. The biggest thing that they're gonna do is, as you can see, it's gonna be a essentially a awning that's just over top of your slide and it's gonna unroll with your slide so that when you're camping at a campsite with leaves or if you're camping during the winter, any of that stuff is gonna stay off the top of your slide. And what this is designed to prevent is especially when it comes to leaves, acorns, any of that stuff that falls from the trees, bugs, other debris that's sitting on top of your roof, a lot of people think that the seal that is on top of your roof to keep your water from getting inside your camper, they think that's designed to scrape off all that stuff. more

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2017 Vintage race trailer, and we're gonna be installing this Solera awning on it. Adding an awning to a race trailer that doesn't already come with one from the factory is kind of a no-brainer. You spend all day at the track or you're hanging out at the campsite after you've just had a nice race. Usually, people just end up hanging out on the inside of the trailers, especially if you have inclement weather. There's nowhere to hang out unless you're sitting inside, and that can also cause some harmful fumes if you're sitting inside with all your fuel. more

Now this is available in a bunch of different sizes and also two color configurations. Here we have our black as well as a white and all of this is gonna be installed on a KZ Durango. Once you get to your campsite and you have your slide-outs out you get to really enjoy the space that your RV offers. But with those extended out, it really opens it up for any leaves or sticks or even bugs and water to get on those slide outs. And when you slide that back in you run the risk of not only damaging your seals but also all of that making its way inside of your RV. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer. Today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Solera 5,000 series slide topper here on our 2022 East to West Alta travel trailer. So, a big benefit of the slide out toppers is that it is gonna protect the roof of your slide out box. Now if you're like me, you hate getting up there after a camping trip and having to sweep off leaves, get rid of the bugs and if you don't, you can end up having them inside your camper. And this one's pretty new, so it hasn't really been worn in yet but a lot of the time with the campers that we get in, I see the slide out seal doesn't exactly touch the roof of the slide out as it's going in and out. So any bugs, leaves, any other debris, I've even seen tree branches fall down and get sucked inside. more

Solera 8 foot Slide-Topper Installation - 2015 K-Z Durango Fifth Wheel- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer. And today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Solera Slide Out Awning here on our 2015 KZ Durango Gold fifth Wheel trailer. So as you can see, there is quite a bit of debris up on top of our slide out. And closer to our camera there, you can really see that the wiper seal isn't actually touching the slide out. So all of that debris is getting right into this camper every time the slide out is closed. So if you have that, maybe some bugs, anything else that could fall out of a tree, you're gonna have all that inside of your camper. more

Hi there RV and camper owners, today we're gonna be taking a look at Solera's line of their 5,000 series slide toppers. These come in either black or white, and we're gonna be showing off the black edition today. And these slide toppers that we've got here are designed to protect the top of your slide out from debris such as sticks, leaves, pine needles, acorns, all kinds of stuff that can get up on there, as well as moisture. And if you get dirt and debris up there and that moisture starts to set into that debris, it can actually set and hold and then you can get mold across the top, and mold on there is no good for anybody. And when you go to bring your slide top in, if you've got mold on your roof, you're just bringing that mold inside. Additionally, the debris that gets up on top of there can cause leaks with your seals and then you could potentially have water leaks inside which could potentially cause even further damage, further mold and just lead to costly repairs that could even potentially make you sick. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer. And today we'll be showing you how to install the Solera RV slide out awning here on our 2019 crossroads sunset trail travel trailer. As you can see on our slide out there's a lot of grime built up on here which could have easily been blocked by our awning. A lot of the times when you have your awning out if you're anywhere near a tree or anything like that you're gonna have leaves all kinds of bugs, anything like that, dropping down on top of your awning your slide out seals do a pretty good job at negating most of that, and kind of wiping it off as your slide out goes in. But for the most part this is all gonna be inside your camper. So this is gonna contribute to mold and mildew growing inside of your camper, which you can easily just block with your awning. more

Lippert Solera Slider Slide-Topper Installation - 2016 Forest River Grey Wolf Travel Trailer- Video
Hi there, Grey Wolf owners. Today, on your 2016 Forest River Grey Wolf, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Solera's slide topper. We are gonna be using the 13-foot-one-inch model today, but I highly recommend you measure yours and choose the appropriate one as they could potentially be a different size slide-out on your Grey Wolf. So this is what our slide-out looks like when it's installed. You can see here that with our slide-out extended, our slide topper covers the entire top of it, has a subtle angle to it to allow moisture to drain right off the top. The awning will prevent any debris from collecting on top of your slide-out, and debris such as like pine needles, leaves, tree sap, small sticks and twigs, little acorn shells, all that stuff that can collect on top of here, whenever you move your slide-out in, if you don't clean that debris away, and even if you do clean like the large particles, there can still be smaller particles and that sap and stuff there that can deteriorate your seals and cause leaks down the line. more

So slide-out awning toppers are gonna give you a whole lot of convenience. You're not gonna have to get up on a ladder and clean off your slide-out when you get debris on there. Every time I go camping we have to get out a ladder and get up top, sweep off the top of our slide-out because we don't want all those leaves, any other of that debris getting inside of our camper. Your wiper seals are gonna do a good job at kinda sweeping some of that off, but they're not gonna get everything. more

These fabrics come in a variety of different sizes and color scheme, so you can get the best one to match your particular RV or trailer. We're going to be covering in detail on how to measure and determine the appropriate size for your trailer, as well as in detail steps on how to get that old fabric removed and your new one installed. If your old worn out fabric looks like this, where you've got stains and mold and dirt and debris, sure you can clean some of it but it's probably never going to come completely clean again. Solera Slider Slide-Topper Installation - 2002 Itasca Suncruiser Motorhome- Video
Today on our 2002 F53 Chassis Motor Home, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Solera 12.5' Slider or Slide-Topper in Black with Black Hardware, part number LCV000177334, as well as the Solera 7.5' Slider or Slide-Topper in Black with Black Hardware, part number LCV000165062.Here's what our Lippert Solera Slide-Out Awning is going to look like once we have it fully installed. Now, these are going to be specifically made for the slide-outs on our RV or our camper, and it's going to come in a wide variety of sizes. Here we have a 12.5' one for our living room, and then here on the other side we have a 7.5' one for the bedroom. The whole purpose of the slide-out awning is because whenever we have our pop-out out we want to make sure that no debris, any tree limbs, leaves, acorns, or anything else is going to get stuck in between and get caught in the track and possibly damage any of the hydraulic components or any gears inside. This is going to keep all that debris on top of it making sure it doesn't get inside that track, and it's also going to have a slight overhang, making sure it doesn't come in from the side either.Now, this awning is going to be in black with all black hardware so it's going to match nicely with everything, and the brackets and all the hardware is included. Now, one nice thing about the brackets is that it is going to be a universal bracket, and it is going to match most competitor brands' bolt pattern. more

Lippert Solera Slider Slide-Topper Installation - 2019 Keystone Springdale Travel Trailer- Video
Today in our 2019 Keystone Springdale Travel Trailer, we're gonna be installing Solera Slide Topper. We'll be installing the 12 foot slider on our travel trailer here, but depending on your Springdale Travel Trailer's options, you may need a different length. So, you'll measure the length of your slide out and pick the appropriate size that will match. They're available in either black or white depending on your preference.Now, if you're working on a different trailer, you can use this video as a guide 'cause it's going to install the exact same way. This slide topper extends the entire length of your slide out, hanging off a little bit on each end to prevent any dirt, debris, and moisture from collecting up on top. That dirt, debris, and moisture that collects on top can cause damaging effects on your seals, which may in turn cause leaks inside your trailer. more

Lippert Solera Slider Slide-Topper Installation - 2019 Jayco Greyhawk Motorhome- Video
Today on 2019 Jayco Greyhawk Motor home, I'm going to show you how to install the Solera 12.5' Slider Slide-Topper in black. Those of us who like camping and RV-ing, it's a nice time to get away with the family to relax. What's going to set these apart from others is these are actually going to extend out 50", which is 8" farther than some of the other ones out there.You can see the box side here sits kind of inside of our T-molding. This T-molding hangs out past it, so it'll seal against the RV. When this is all the way in it has this seal, so it sits against there, and it doesn't allow water or anything to get inside. However, if we didn't have our Slide-Topper on, when we extend it out, it exposes this top side.A lot of campsites have trees in them. more

Solera White Fade RV Awning Roller and Fabric Review- Video
Speaker 1: Today we'll be having a look at the Solera 20' White Fade RV Awning Roller and Fabric, part number LCV000211523. We'll be installing this in conjunction with the Solera Manual Hardware Kit for Flat Awnings for 69" Arms, part number LC351827.Here's what our awning looks like installed. As you'll notice, the main benefit of having an awning on your trailer like this is that we now have a large area of shade coverage, so we don't have to worry about being exposed to the sun anymore. Now, what's great about this awning, even though it is a manual awning, it is super easy to use with the provided crank. We'll simply hook that on and then we can just crank it up very easily. And just like that, in less than a minute, our awning is fully retracted. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jayco North Point camper, we're going to be taking a look at and we're going to show you how to install the Solera eight foot slider slide-topper in black, part number LCV000168106. This is also available in white. This is what our slide-topper looks like when it's installed. As you can see, we have our slide out completely out, or completely extended out and our slide topper covers that top section of our slide out. What that's going to do, it's going to keep leaves, dirt and debris from getting inside and sitting in there, because what's that going to do, if you get leaves and stuff and everything sitting inside there, if you don't clean it off, it's going to create mold, a lot of dirt. What happens is when you create that mold, this part of the slide out is going to slide in. more

Solera Standard Awning Roller and Fabric Installation - 2010 CrossRoads Cruiser Fifth Wheel- Video
Today in this 2010 Four Cruiser Crossroads Fifth Wheel, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Solera 14 foot sand fade RV awning roller and fabric, part number LCV000223179 in conjunction with the Solera universal awning support for RVs with 12 volt power, part number LC434722. To ease our install, we'll also be using the Camco white butyl tape part number CAM25013. Here we are at our campsite with our Fifth Wheel. We got here and we found out that our powered awning won't come down, it doesn't work anymore, which is terrible since it's really hot and bright day. And before the awning itself broke, we had holes in it too. So it wasn't the best situation when it was raining. more

Solera Slider Slide-Topper Installation - 2002 Ford F-53- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2002 F-53 Chassis Motor Home, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Solera 12.5' slider or slide-topper in black with black hardware, part number LCV000177334, as well as the Solera 7.5' slider or slide-topper in black with black hardware, part number LCV000165062. So here's what our Lippert Solera slide out awning is going to look like once we have it fully installed. Now these are going to be specifically made for the slide outs in our RV or our camper, and it's going to come in a wide variety of sizes. Here we have a 12.5' one for our living room, and then here on the other side we have a 7.5' one for the bedroom.The whole purpose of the slide out awning is because whenever we have our pop out out, we want to make sure that no debris, any tree limbs, leaves, acorns, or anything else is going to get stuck in between and get caught in the track and possibly damage any of the hydraulic components or any gears inside. This is going to keep all that debris on top of it, making sure it doesn't get inside that track, and it's also going to have a slight overhang, making sure it doesn't come in from the side either. Now this awning is going to be in black with the all black hardware, so it's going to match nicely with everything, and the brackets and all the hardware is included.Now one nice thing about the brackets is that it is going to be a universal bracket, and it is going to match most competitor brands' bolt pattern, so we're not going to have to worry about filling in any holes or drilling any new holes in the side of our RV. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Forest River R-Pod RP-180, we're gonna take a look at and show you how to install the Solera six and a half foot slider. This is in black, with black hardware, part number is LCV000165063. Now, here's a great look at what our slide topper looks like once you get it installed. Now, these type toppers provide excellent solution for protecting the top of your slideout when it's out like we have it now. It's gonna protect, keep the sticks and the leaves and things like that from falling on top, so then when you roll it up, it'll just fall off the edge here.Now, this slide topper's gonna work out great for slideout rooms up to six feet. It offers a six and a half feet of coverage, so that's gonna give us the two and a half inches on each end that we need for the adequate overhang. more

Today on our 2009 Forest River Sun seeker we're going to be taking a look at and installing Lippert Solara 13 and a half foot slider slide topper in white with white hardware. Part number LCV000163300. Here's what this awning's going to look like once it's installed on the camper. As you can see it gives us full coverage of our slide out what it's fully extended. It's also wide enough that it's going us a few inches of over hang on each side to make sure that the slide out is fully covered. This one's 12 and a half feet long from end to end to make sure that this slide out can be fully covered. This awning is going to attach to the camper the same way that one from the factory would. more
