Review of Seaflo RV Access Doors - Multi-Purpose Access Door - SE36VR- Video

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Multi-Purpose Access Door. This is an 18 inch wide by 20 1/2 inch tall ABS plastic access door that will allow for easy, keyless access to a compartment on your boat or RV, so this will work for your control panels, your valve, or wiring compartments, and those sorts of things. This is going to swing open 180 degrees, so it's gonna give you plenty of room to reach your gear, but we do have these dual recessed latches here that will turn independently to ensure that the door is going to be closed. So you can see that turning, so no lock, so it is a little less secure than if you we're to have a lock on there, but it is gonna be a great option if you're not looking for a locked access door just to give you that peace of mind to know that it is going to be sealed, no chance of it flying open and that sort of thing. This is a strong, white ABS plastic construction, so it is gonna resist UV rays, road salts, and acid. more

Now, this is a durable, water-resistant synthetic fittings and rubber seals they use on this to help keep your compartment dry. So you can see, when I open it, you've got a nice seal right down here, so that when you do close your lid and lock it into place, it'll keep everything on the inside from getting wet. more

Valterra RV Electrical Cable Hatch Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at Valterra's Electrical Cable Hatch for RV's or campers.You can get these in white, black or colonial white. This will give us an access point to pass large wires through. What's nice about this is if you need to store the wires inside when not in use, like on our camper here that we can take off the bed of our truck, we can push back in, close it off, and they're nice and stored.It's got a nice, large opening. We're using some thick, heavy three gauge wires here for our connections. It easy allows us to push those in with plenty of room to make our connection, while keeping it nice and neat as well as giving us a way to minimize the opening that we have for our wires. So, as you can see here, we can pass our wires in and make our connection to our battery.The large fingers here at the back will keep our wiring all towards the center and nice and neat, and since they are moveable, like this here, we can pass through many wires through there and we'll accommodate those.Now if you had an even larger bundle of wires that wouldn't fit through our slot here, you can flip open the whole cover, which can also make it easier to route your wiring and accommodate more. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra electric cable hatch for RV's. This is for use with RV electrical cables up to 50 amps. It does come with the installation putty tape, and the necessary hardware. Now the screw heads are painted to match the color of the hatch, so it gives it a really nice clean overall finished appearance. The hatch door is able to swing open for easy access. Really nice design, snaps in the shut position. Very secure. Then it's got the sliding door right here that allows the cable to pass through with the main hatch door closed. With that closed, it's also going to keep unwanted items out of the stored area when the cable isn't being used. Take a look at the overall diameter, measuring edge to edge, we're looking at about five and one eighth of an inch. more
