Adding a ladder rack system to the back of your Tacoma is gonna allow you to take advantage of the negative space above your bed, and get those bigger bulkier items out on your journey along with you. With this setup, we actually have the 68 inch bars going across, so that's gonna give you an additional hangover space for tie-downs, and you can take advantage of the tie-down point on the end of your crossbar. Yakima also offers a HD strap that works in conjunction with your Yakima crossbars. You actually have a T-track slot along the top, and that's gonna allow you to put in eye loops or any other points. more

How's it going neighbors, this is Ed with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Thule ladder rack system, on our 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. So the rack itself is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, and it's powder coated, that's gonna hold up against the elements and protects you against corrosion. As far as the capacity, it's a whopping 800 pounds, so that's a lotta weight that you can put on the track rack system. You have included load stops, that are adjustable, to slide over to lock down your loads. And also, something I thought was cool about their load stops, at the very top, you have a tie-down point. How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Malone TradeSport Ladder Rack on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Adding a ladder rack system to the back of your pickup helps resolve the issue of needing to carry materials that are longer than the bed of your truck. With this one, this is a 6 1/2-foot box, and if you had longer lumber, a longer ladder than my demo ladder, or even like your sports and rec side, kind of how the name implies, if you have a surfboard, canoes, fishing rod holder, that's a longer one for like fly rods, this is gonna work for that as well. In general, this is just the best way to maximize negative space in the back of your vehicle that you otherwise wouldn't have access to. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Malone Cross Bed Ladder Rack System on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Having a ladder rack system is gonna allow you to get those longer items like ladders, lumber, PVC pipe, or even things for your sports and rec activities like canoes or bike carriers or T-track accessories. Included with the cross sport are gonna be four load stops that you're gonna be able to make adjustments with using the black knob, they fit into your T-track, which is 7/8-inch wide. That's gonna work with all your T-track accessories, and you'll be able to use the rubber stripping to fill in the spaces to help reduce wind noise. As far as your towers, these guys are gonna have a padding system that's underneath that makes contact with the top of the bed and a clamp on the rear to secure it to the top of the vehicle. You're 3.5 inches as far as the width, and then the thickness is right at an inch and a half. more

So a few things about this one is up top you're gonna have this T channel that you can use for T channel accessories, which is really nice because this is a thicker bar so it's gonna be harder to put on a lot of clamp on accessories. Hey neighbors, this is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima BedRock HD on the back of our 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Let's check it out. The BedRock HD is actually a really solid system for the bed of your truck. When you're not loaded, it's gonna be minimally invasive to your rear window, so you'll be able to see pretty well without having any type of blockage from the bars unloaded. However, loaded, it helps you get a lot more storage space out of the bed of your truck. And if you're using it for transporting ladders or other things, we have integrated hooks on the end, well, spaces for the hooks, to use the Yakima HD hook strap that will clamp in one side and the other and you'd be able to ratchet it down. more

The OverHaul is a great truck rack for your vehicle as far as getting you a little bit more space to carry a little bit more cargo. If you have something like this Ranger or any other smaller bed truck, you know this area can get filled up quite quickly. So you can add another cargo basket to the top. You can add bike carriers or anything you would use your crossbars for even a tent. You have awesome adjustability between 19 and 29 inches. more

So, this option from Erickson is going to be a pretty entry-level option and fairly bare bones. It's a fixed height, but it does give you above cab clearance. It's aluminum construction means it's going to be lightweight and rust resistant, but it still maintains an 800-pound capacity. more

Now, this is gonna be a pretty basic ladder rack, but it's still very capable. It's gonna give you a fixed height above the cab of your truck and allow you to carry up to 800 pounds. So good for the job site applications, adding some lumber, ladders, and then the other extended loads above the bed. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Malone Crossbed Truck Bed Rack. It's gonna be a good solution to mount up some accessories over your bed, especially if you don't want it to be super up tall, like a tent or a bike rack where it's easier to reach, while still leaving your bed below accessible. And we're gonna be showing you how to install it on your 2013 RAM 2500. So the big thing you probably notice right away, is it's pretty low profile, from the bedrail to the top of the crossbar here, only adding about eight inches. So this isn't gonna be a ladder rack, it's not gonna be for your elongated loads of two by fours, conduit, ladders, even kayaks I wouldn't put on here because they probably just won't fit. more

Kuat Ibex Adjustable Overland Truck Bed Rack Review - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat IBEX Truck Bed Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. So the IBEX is going to be somewhat adjustable giving you in the initial setup process when you get it out of the box, two height settings, the low profile which we have it in here, or the regular height which would be pretty much level with the roof of your vehicle. Personally on this truck, I don't love the low profile look. If you're going to be mounting up something like a tent it is a little bit more helpful to have it closer to the ground, but you are gonna be doing things like sacrificing that back window quite a bit and it just makes it harder to access your truck bed underneath. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, today we're gonna be talking about the Malone TradeSport Ladder Rack on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. A ladder rack is gonna be great for the Silverado, because they're really gonna help you maximize the amount of space you can use in your bed. What the Malone is gonna help you offer to is plenty of additional mounting points on the legs and on top of our T-track on our crossbars. And it's gonna have the ability to hold up to 800 pounds, which is a lot more than some of our other ladder racks we have here. Our system's gonna be comprised of three parts. The BedRock's gonna be a good choice for you if you don't want to get a roof rack since that's gonna be up front on the top of your vehicle and it's not gonna be able to carry as much stuff since it has a lower weight capacity. And it's gonna be a great choice if you don't want to invest in a ladder rack since this is gonna be at a lower price point than a ladder rack. And it's gonna sit a little bit closer to your vehicle so it's not gonna take up as much room but you're still gonna be able to utilize the maximum amount of space for your bed. The system's gonna be comprised of three pieces so we're gonna have our HD crossbars up top. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Thule TracRac SR truck bed ladder rack with cantilever on our 2023 Ford F150. Now that's gonna be a really unique option because it's a very heavy duty ladder rack with tons of adjustability front to back, but that cantilever up front is the piece that extends over the cab, giving us more usable space and support for longer loads, whether it be a really long ladder, lumber, conduit, any sort of elongated items that we don't have room for in the truck bed, it can go above it and extend over the cab with that extra support, so everything is secure when they're going down the road.
