Hi Matt with etrailer. And today we're talking the Yakima OutPost ladder rack on the back of our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Now this will be a great option for you for more of those recreational type uses. If you're wanting to go on some trips or you wanna haul maybe some roof baskets or boxes in the back of your bed, it's gonna be great for that. Mainly because it's gonna save you a little bit more room if you wanna put some other gear in the bed of your truck, and it's gonna be a lot easier to reach as opposed to something on your roof if you are wanting to go the roof rack option. As an example, we threw a basket up here to show you how it's gonna look and how you can use baskets, boxes or anything like that on here. more

Best 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Ladder Rack Options- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're talking about the best ladder rack for you on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Ladder racks are great if you are using this for a lot of different reasons, whether you are using this for work situations or if you're just trying to go on a vacation and you need to store some extra stuff on your vehicle or you're just hauling occasionally, too. Now it's really hard to say what is gonna be the best ladder rack for you because that's mainly gonna depend on the situation. For the situations where you're not really hauling a whole lot, or maybe you're just carrying a ladder every now and then, some lumber, or you just need something that's lifted up and you can't fit it in the bed of your truck, then I would recommend something that's gonna be a little bit more affordable or more on the entry level side. And a great ladder rack for that is gonna be the Flint Hill Goods ladder rack because that's gonna have a weight capacity of up to 400 pounds. So it's still gonna be very sturdy, but it's more of a simple design. more

That's gonna be a great option for you if you're finding yourself using or needing something for work if you want to have those ladders up at a higher point so they can actually reach all the way across your cab. Or if you do have some other accessories you wanna place up here, like a box or a basket. So let's check it out. The reason why this is gonna be great for those more work environments is gonna be because we do have these load stops and those load stops are gonna help prevent your load from shifting around. If you do plan on making a lot of turns while you're driving, this will help keep everything in place. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Yakima Bedrock HD Truck Bed Rack on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. It's gonna be a great way for you to get some larger accessories where you need 'em to go, but still make them accessible to you and not get them up so high that you can't reach them while still leaving you space in your bed to carry more gear so let's check it out. Right now we have this system working with our 78 inch crossbars, which gives us a good amount of room here, but it's still not gonna be enough that it exceeds the overall width of the vehicle. It stays within the mirrors, so as long as you know that your mirrors are getting clear wherever you're going through, the crossbars are clear as well. Taking a closer look at those crossbars, they are heavy duty, they are rated for off-road use as well. more

Hey it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Yakima OverHaul HD truck bed ladder rack on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. It is adjustable so you can accommodate some different heights, but it's a great way to get some longer larger loads on top of your truck, whether that be ladders, whether that be some sports and rec things like kayaks, skis, snowboards, anything that you wanna get on your crossbars here, we can do that. It's got a weight capacity of 500 pounds, but it's also rated for off-road usage but that's gonna drop your weight capacity down to 300 pounds. It's really modular, it's really nice to work with, so let's check it out. For our set up we have 78 inch heavy duty crossbars on here. more

This is gonna be a great option for you if you work in an industry where maybe you have to bring larger, longer loads with you more frequently, like ladders or lumber, or maybe on the sports and rec side of things, you wanna get a kayak up on your truck or you can lower it down in the case of the Xsporter so it can be more aerodynamic and you're gonna have more options of what you wanna load up in there. Let's check it out. This rack is able to support up to 450 pounds so it can hold a lot of weight, depending on what you wanna get on here. It's also super easy to adjust, which is kind of what sets it apart. more

Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Truck Ladder Rack Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Flint Hill Goods aluminum ladder rack on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Just gonna be a great way to get some longer loads that you can't necessarily fit in your bed like this eight foot ladder that we have here or lumber or even maybe some kayaks if you have those to where you need to go. The rack itself is made of aluminum so it's relatively lightweight considering and it's able to support up to 400 pounds and holds the actual load in place by the load stops, the load stops themselves do rotate and slide up and down this track and then they rotate to the right clockwise to tighten in place. Some of the other load stops on different ladder racks have the ability to tighten them down at the bottom. These can be a little bit strange when you're actually tightening them up close to your load because they will actually be contact with it while you're trying to tighten them but they're okay overall. more
