Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma we're going to be test fitting the 24 by 60 Surco cargo carrier for 2" hitches. With a 500 pound capacity, its part number is 52018. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pinholes, slide through the pin, and secure it with the clip. Our cargo carrier will offer us about 15-1/2" worth of ground clearance here at the rear. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our truck's about 2-1/4" away. Overall we've added about 28" to the length of our truck. more

Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Toyota Tacoma

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, we're going to be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Folding Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, with a 450 pound weight capacity. It's part number is 59550. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position, we'll have about 15-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 4" away, and overall we've added about 12" to the length of the Tacoma. Pulling the large red handle on the top of the carrier will allow us to tilt it into its loading position. As you can see, in this position we do have the room to open the tailgate. Here at the rear of the rack, we'll have about 19-1/4" worth of ground clearance, and overall we've added about 37-1/2" to the length of our truck. The exhaust on our Tacoma exits the passenger side, just behind the rear wheel. This shouldn't have any kind of effect on heat sensitive materials. We're now ready to load our cargo carrier with gear and hit the road. That will complete today's test fit of the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier, part number 59550, on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Toyota Tacoma

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma were going to be test fitting the 17x50 MaxxTow Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches with a 500 pound weight capacity. Its part number is MT70107. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with our clip. Our cargo carriers going to offer us about 14 3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance here at the rear. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our trucks about 3 1/4 inches away, and overall weve added about 23 1/4 inches to the length of our Tacoma. As you can see, we do have room to fully open our tailgate without any interference from our cargo carrier. The exhaust on our Tacoma exits the passenger side, just behind the rear wheel. It shouldnt affect any kind of heat sensitive materials we may be transporting. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma we're going to be test fitting the 17 by 46 CURT cargo carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. With a 500 pound weight capacity, its part number is C18145. To begin our test we'll slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We're going to line up our pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it with the provided clip. In this position our cargo carrier is going to offer us about 15-1/4" worth of ground clearance. more
