MaxxTow  Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150, we're going to be test fitting the MaxxTow 48" x 21" Cargo Carrier, part number MT70422. Now this is an all aluminum cargo carrier. Its got a ladder style floor. It's going to have nice large gaps between, so that any dirt and debris fall through. Its got some tie-down points on the outer edges and it comes with these nice reflectors; it's going to help you keep DOT compliant. Lets go ahead and get you some measurements. Overall to our vehicle, we're going to add about 27-1/2" and our closest point of contact is going to be about 4-3/4". Our ground clearance is going to put us about 22-1/2". Now the F150 has a side exited exhaust, so you really not going to have to worry too much about anything that's going to be heat sensitive on our cargo carrier. more

Today on our 2013 Ford F150, we're going to be test fitting the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier, part number CC-100. This cargo carrier is designed to hold 500 pounds of weight. It's got multiple places for tie downs all the way around. Has an extruded metal, expanded metal bottom, that's going to allow your dirt and debris to fall through and make it easy to clean. Let's go ahead and get you some measurements. Overall we're going to add about 27 inches to the length of our vehicle. Our closest point of contact is going to be about 3 and a half inches. more

Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150 well be test fitting the 23 x 56 Rola Dart cargo carrier, part number 59550. To begin our test fit, well slide shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and tighten with a wrench. Now well go over a handful of clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and this vehicle will fit together. With the cargo carrier folded up there is about 17 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about four and a half inches. And weve added about 13 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, align up our pin holes and secure it with a pin and clip. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and this vehicle will fit together. There is about 18 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about of an inch. Weve added about 7 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 3 inches. Weve added about 22 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more
