Today on our 2014 Ford Expedition, we're going to be test fitting the 31" by 47" Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" hitches. With a 400-pound weight capacity, its part number is PS1040100. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up our pin holes, slide our pin through and secure it with a clip. Let's go over a few clearance measurements. As you can see here at the rear, you'll have about 20" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Expedition is about 9 1/2". more

Today on our 2014 Ford Expedition were going to be test fitting the 20 x 47 Maxx Tow Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches. With the 500 pound weight capacity its part number is MT70108. To begin our test fit were going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, well then lineup our pin holes, slide through our pin, and secure it with a click. Lets go over a few measurements here. You will have about 17 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of the vehicle is about 6 inches and overall weve added about 29 inches to the length of the Expedition. When opening our rear hatch it breaks over the carrier at about 14 inches. With our cargo carrier secure were ready to load up our gear and hit the trail. Now lets take a few measurements. As you can see here at the rear of the rack youll have about 17 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of the Expedition is about 4 inches and weve added about 24 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. When opening our rear hatch it breaks over the carrier at about 13 inches. With our rack secure were ready to load our gear and hit the road. Today on our 2014 Ford Expedition, we'll be test fitting the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches with a 500 pound weight capacity. It's part number is C18145. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. As you can see we have about 18 inches of ground clearance here at the rear of the rack. The closest point of the rack to the back of the Expedition is about 3 3/4 of an inch and overall we've added about 23 1/2 inches to the length of the Expedition. When opening our rear hatch, it breaks over our carrier at about the 13 inch mark. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin, and secure it with a clip. In this position, you'll have about 17-3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about an inch and three-quarters, and overall, we've added about 12-1/2 inches to the length of our Expedition. Pulling the silver pin at the base of the rack will allow it to tilt away from our vehicle. We'll want to reinsert the pin in the new location to secure it. more
