MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, we're doing a test fit of the Maxxtow 48 by 21 cargo carrier. That part number is MT70422 and it's designed to work with two-inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance is going to be first. Right up under here at the back of the carrier, we're going to have about 15 3/4 inches. Overall to the vehicle, we're adding about 29 inches. more

Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is CC-100. It has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and is designed to work with two-inch hitches. Now, the first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Our first one is going to be our ground clearance here. We have about 14 1/2 inches to the bottom of this bolt at the back. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado we're doing a test fit or the Curt folding 20x60 cargo carrier. That part number is C18151. It's designed to work with 2 inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Our ground clearance is going to be first. We have about 16 and 1/2 inches there. Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 34 and 3/4 inches. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado C18150- Video
Today, on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18150. Now, this is designed to work with 2-inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. We already have it on our vehicle. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance is first. We have about 19 3/4 inches of clearance. That's because we do have that raised shank back here in the back which is going to lift the carrier even higher than your hitch. Overall, to the truck, we're adding about 29 1/4 inches. Our closest point is going to be about 8 1/2 inches there. Now, on our truck, we have a single passenger side exhaust. It comes straight out here to the side, so we don't have to worry about being pre-cautious with heat sensitive materials in our carrier. The next thing we'll check is our tailgate. If we drop it down all the way, you can see that we don't make contact anywhere on the carrier. It does hang over just a bit. more
