Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got out the Curt Premium folding and tilting 4 bike rack. Now this has been designed for use with 2 inch hitches, part number on it is C18064. Something really unique about the rack is going to be the taper that's in the cradle arms. We've got a wider set here on the front and then you can see a narrow set here on the back for smaller bikes or maybe high ridge style bikes. Gives us some options as far as mounting goes. Also the 2 reflectors there on the end they're going to keep it nice and visible. Now in each position regardless if it's in the narrow or the wider position we're going to have 3 straps holding our bikes to the cradles. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we have gotten out the Thule Vertex here and we are test fitting it. The vertex is a 4 bike hanging style bike rack, designed to fold and tilt. The part number on it is TH9029XT. We can use this bike rack with 1 1/4 or with 2 inch hitches. It has got an incorporated cable lock, stores on the mast when not in use, comes right here to the end of the arm. That is going to go over each of our bikes and keep them secured to the rack. more

Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got out the Yakima full tilt and we're test fitting it to see what kind of room we've got between it and the back of the vehicle. Now the full tilt is designed for use with 1 1/4 or with 2 inch hitches. This is a 4 bike hanging style rack designed to fold and tilt. Part number on it is Y02462. Now as you can see here we've got 3 cradles holding our bike in place, anti sway and then 2 here for the top frame too. They're held in with zip strips, to release them we just pinch in on our gray levers and we can pull those on and out. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra TH912XTR- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra we've got the Thule Roadway 2 Bike Hanging Style Rack out. This rack's designed to fold and tilt. Part number on it is TH912XTR. The Roadway uses 3 cradles and straps to hold our bikes in place. We've got two here on the top frame too and also an anti-sway cradle. You can see that's going to do a nice job of keeping that bike from moving too far forward or back. You just want to pull down and out on our straps to release them. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got out the Swagman Dispatch and we're doing a test fit on it. The Dispatch is an RV approved platform style 2 bike rack. It's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. Part number on it S64684. The Dispatch uses a center frame hook and 2 wheel cradles with straps to hold our bikes into place. Each wheel cradle strap is a cum buckle style we just press in the lever and then release our strap. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra ETTHT2C-2- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got out the Thule T2 and we're test fitting it. Now the T2's a platform style folding and tilting 2 bike rack. It's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is TH9044. With a simple add on part number TH9046, we can use the hole located right here, put our 2 bike add on there, and convert this right over to a 4 bike rack and interchange as we need to switch from a 2 bike to a 4 bike. It's really nice feature. Another nice feature of it's the ability of it to tilt away from our vehicle even when we've got the bike loaded up. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra s64650- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we're doing a test fit on the Swagman XC2. This is a two-bike, platform style rack. It's been designed so we can use it with the inch and a quarter or with two inch hitches. Part number on it is S64650. Now the XC2 uses a really straightforward system as far as securing our bike. We've got a centrally located frame-hook, this is going to pull down on our bike, and it holds it securely in its two wheel cradle. So, we don't have to mess with the straps, or the hook-in loop, or anything like that. more

Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got out this Swagman Trailhead and we're going to do a test of it. Now the Trailhead's a 4 bike rack. It's a hanging style. It's been design to fold and also tilt away from your vehicle. Part number on it is S63380. Now they've designed this for use with inch and a quarter or with 2 inch hitches. So it's nice and adaptable. more
