I've already got it loaded up on the Frontier just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our 4 bikes. Real quick, before we get into that, let's go ahead and show you one of the best features about this bike rack. It actually has the ability to swing out away from our vehicle so we can gain access to our tailgate. What we're going to do here, we're going to start with this black lever behind the bike rack. Then we're going to lift up on the pin, start bringing it out until it snaps into place. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Frontier we're doing a test fit of the Rola TX-104 Hanging Style 4-Bike Rack. That part number is 59401. Now we already have our bike secured down we're first going to show you how we do that. We have 2 cradles in place with 3 straps, 2 on our frame and 1 as our anti-sway strap in the back. We're going to pull down and lift up to release those and we're able to pull our bike off and set it off to the side. With our bike out of the way we'll start off with a few measurements here. First is going to be overall what we're adding to our vehicle, it's going to be about 33-1/4". more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Frontier well be test fitting the Yakima Doubledown Ace Four Bike Rack, part number Y02451. To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and installed the attached pin. Here at the rear of the shank well tighten the hand knob to secure our bike rack to our vehicle and engage our anti-rattle device.Now well go over some clearance measurements. We have about 14-1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our vehicle is about six inches. Weve added about 13 inches to the overall length of our Nissan Frontier. Well pull the pin with the red knob on the backside of our carrier and allow it to tilt away from the vehicle. more

Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Frontier

Speaker: Today, on our 2013 Nissan Frontier, well be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero two-bike carrier, part number TH9042. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch allowing the integrated hitch bin to fall into place, and then securing the bike rack to the vehicle by turning the black knob. This will engage the anti-rattle device, securing the Thule Helium to our Frontier. Well now go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 20 & inches of ground clearance. Weve added about 19 inches to the overall length of our Frontier. We can now pull the gray lever that at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, weve added about 29 inches to the overall length of our Frontier. To lower it on the tailgate and have access to the truck bed, we can pull the gray lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Frontier, we will be test fitting the Rhino Rack, four bike rack for two inch hitches, part number RBC038.We will begin our test fit by slotting the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch while threading the anti rental 00:00:16 device and lock and tighten it down with a wrench. We can then secure with the lock to secure the bike rack to the vehicle.Now with the bike rack secured, we will go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 20 and inches of ground clearance. Closes part of the bike rack to the closes part of the vehicle is about 3 inches away. With the cradle arms folded down, we have added about 11 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.We can now pull a black pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, we have added about 28 inches to the overall length of our Frontier. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Frontier, well be test-fitting the Kuat Sherpa Platform Style Aluminum 2-Bike Rack, part number S102. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. Well insert our pin and secure the lock on the other side. To secure the bike rack to our Frontier, we can turn the black T-handle to engage the anti-rattle device.Now that the bike racks secured, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the 2 fit together. We have about 18 inches of ground clearance of the rear of the bike rack. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of our vehicle is about 3 inches away, and weve added about 14 inches to the overall length of our truck. To lower the platform, we can pull the gold handle on the right-hand side of the base of the bike rack, and fold it down. more

You can also prevent rattle by using an anti-rattle device or securing to your vehicle by using a hitch lock. See our website for more details. Now for today's test fit we'll be using Hidden Hitch's Super Extra Long Shank Ball Mount rated at 6,000 pounds, part number 80232. You can use any ball mount with an extra-long shank as long as the ball mount platform exceeds more than three inches outside of your bumper. more
