Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Kia Sportage

Today on our 2013 Kia Sportage, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Stickup two bike, hitch mounted bike rack, part number Y02420. To begin our test fit, we'll slide that shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole, and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it with a wrench. Now, we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the bike to the rear of our Sportage is about an inch and a half. We've added about 11 inches to the overall length of our Kia Sportage. We pull the red know at the base of the bike rack and allow it unfold. With the bike rack in this position, we have full access to our rear hatch. We'll pull the red know to raise up our center mast and we'll raise up our frame hooks and under a wheel strap. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack, securing it first with the frame hook. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Kia Sportage

Today, on our 2013 Kia Sportage, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler four bike rack, part number Hr8500. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and secure it with a wrench. With our Traveler secured to our Sportage, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about four inches away. With the cradle arms folded down, we've added about seven and a half inches to the overall length of our vehicle. We can now pull the black pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler 5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Kia Sportage

Today, on our 2013 Kia Sportage, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler 5 bike rack, part number HR9200. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll line up the pinholes, thread our anti-rattle bolt though the pinholes and tighten it with a wrench. With our Traveler secured to our Sportage, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the 2 fit together. We have about 10 1/2 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the bike rack. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the Sportage is about 9 inches away. With the cradle arms folded down, we've added about 13 1/2 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. We can now loosen up the black hand knobs on the upper left- and right-hand side of the bike rack to lift out the cradle arms. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 37 inches to the overall length of our Sportage. To access the cargo area, we can pull the black pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more
