Today on our 2012 Kia Sedonna we're going to be doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler four bike rack. This is going to be your hanging style four bike rack. Part number HR8500. It does come with a 2 inch shank as well as an 1 1/4 shank as well as a 2 inch adapter. So it can work with your class 1,2 and 3 receivers. Just keep in mind that if you do plan on using it with your class 1 receivers that you do make sure that you're weight of your bikes and that you only carry two bikes and that is per your hitches weight specifications. Let's go ahead and move down and talk about the 3/4 inch anti-rattle bolt that's going to keep it nice and secure on the back of the vehicle. Making it a one item instead of a stand alone item by itself. more

This is going to be your hanging style five bike rack coming with a two inch shank for your two inch receivers only and it's going to be part number HR9200. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully installed and on the back of your vehicle. Note that we did put it back here on the second strap that way we could show you the anti-sway strap which we'll go over here in a moment. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will down here on the bottom, to where that angle bracket comes down and meets the shank at about eight inches. Overall distance from the rear of the bumper to the back of the cradle arm's at about 37 and a half inches. more

This bike rack does come with your inch and a quarter shank, as well as your two inch adapter. It is compatible with your class one, two, and three receivers. Just a thing to keep in mind is that if you do plan on carrying it with your class one receivers, that you only carry up to two bikes maximum, and that you also check with the weights of your bikes to make sure that it's all compatible and within the specs of your class one hitches weight requirements. more

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex. This is going to be the hanging style four bike rack, part number TH9029XT. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our cradle arms so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack comes with an inch and a quarter shank as well as a two inch adapter securing with a three quarter inch anti rattle bolt. It will be compatible with your class one, two and three receivers but if you do decide to use it with your class one receivers, you're going to need to keep in mind that you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes and you're going to need to know the weight of those bikes and the weight specifications of your receiver that you intend on using it with. Let's go ahead and start off with getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be first down here at the bottom side to the backside of the bumper at about two and three quarter inches to this point here. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the back of the bumper to the back of the cradle arms at about thirty three and three quarter inches and our ground clearance will be about ten and three eighths inches. more

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack Ridge Swing. This is going to be a your hanging-style four-bike rack with the swing-away option, part number SR2415. As you can see, it does come with a 2" shank for your 2" receivers only, attaching a 3/4" anti-rattle bolt that's going to help to reduce a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble. We also have our bike on here so you can see what it's going to look like once you have a completely installed and in place on the back of your vehicle. So let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance down here on the bottom is going to be about 3 3/4" from the backside here to back of the bumper. The overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the cradle arms at about 31 1/2". more

Now, note that this rack does come with a 1-1/4-inch shank as well as that 2-inch adapter, and it will work with your class I, II, and III receivers. Thing to keep in mind though, is if you plan on using it with your class I receivers that you're only going to be placing 2 bikes on here and you know the weight, so that you're within your weight specifications of your class I receiver. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be from the rear of the receiver to the flange at the front side of the rack, at about 3-3/4 inches. more

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona we're going to be doing a test fit of the Swagman Dispatch. This is going to be your platform style two bike rack, Part Number S64864. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here on our platform so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This bike does come with a two inch shank for your two inch receivers over and it will be attached using a 7/8th inch anti-rattle bolt with an anti-tamper and theft device. Also with this rack, that there was only stow position and that is going to be lowering that center mass which we'll show you in a moment, but that there is no stowed, tucked away position. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be about seven and 1/8th inches. more

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Kuat NV, platform-style four-bike rack, part number N105-107. As you can see we've already got a bike up here on our platform so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and ready to hit the road. This bike rack does come with a two-inch shank to fit into your two-inch receivers only. It also comes with a pin and a lock and anti-theft device. So let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be about 5-5/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle, from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack is going to be about 45-3/4 inches. And our ground clearance here at the back side is going to be about 21-1/2 inches. All right, this rack does have a tilt option, and it's more intended for your larger stature SUVs and pickup trucks, being that when you place this into the tilt position, it's going to rest on the ground. Now you can still use it with this because it does have the two-inch shank for your two-inch receivers. When we open up that rear hatch, it won't allow you to open it up all the way just because of how it's designed and how the vehicle's designed with the large hatch on the back side. more

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Tire Hold Three. This is going to be your platform style, three bike rack. Part number INH 305-306. As you can see we've already got our bike up here on our platform, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This rack does come with an 1-1/4" shank as well as a 2" adapter and it's going to be attaching using a 3/4" anti-rattle bolt with an anti-theft or tamper lock on the end. The one thing I am going to point out though, is since it is compatible with your Class I, II and III receivers, if you do intend on carrying this on your Class I receiver, please make sure that you know the weight of your bike and that you only carry up to two bikes. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Kia Sedona

Today on our 2012 Kia Sedona, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9025. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, and insert the spring loaded pin into the pin hole. We'll then turn the black knob located at the base of the carrier to engage our anti-rattle device. Now, let's go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. There is about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 2 inches. more

One thing to know about this bicycle rack is that when you use it with a class one receiver hitch remember to carry just two bicycles. Now to start off our test fit well go ahead and put the bicycle rack into the hitch and then well go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. Then well go ahead and get some clearance measurements. From the bumper to the security cable loop on the bike rack the minimum clearance is going to be 5 inches. Ground clearance is going to be about 9 inches. more

A few things to know about this bicycle rack that it will work off an 1-1/4 receiver hitches, both class 1 and class 2 and this will also work with 2 inch receiver hitches with the included spacer and thats what were working with today. Well start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch and then well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the safety pin on the other side. Then well get some clearance measurements. From the bike rack to the bumper will be about 6 inches as closest point. more

One thing to know about this bicycle rack is it's designed for 2-inch receiver hitches only. We'll go ahead and start our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch. We'll make sure that the integrated hitch pin snaps into the hitch pin hole. We'll put it back a little bit, put some tension on it, and then tighten down the anti-rattle knob. more
