Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2011 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today in our 2011 Jeep Patriot, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman XC2 Bike Rack, part number S64650. This bike rack will fit both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. We already have our bike installed so let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the other features. How it actually attaches to the bike rack we're going to have one point of contact, and that's going to be this padded frame hook up at the top. Now, it's padded so once you install your bike, it will not get scratched up. It also has the wheel cradles which are adjustable along the arms of the bike rack itself by loosening up and tightening these knobs. more

Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2011 Jeep Patriot we are going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Mounted Bike Rack part numberth9029. To mount the bike rack, were going to fit the shank inside our receiver hitch. Well line up the pinholes and tightendown our anti-rattle bolt. Well give the rack a quick shake and make sure its secure inside our hitch. Next were going totake some clearance measurements. Weve got about an inch and a half of rear clearance from the furthest point of ourbumper to the closest point of the bike rack. more

Thule Parkway 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today we have with us a 2011 Jeep Patriot. And were going to be test fitting the Thule Parkway 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Rackpart number th958. To mount the parkway to our vehicle were going to insert the shank of the bike rack into the receivertube on our vehicle. Well line up the pinholes, insert our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a inch wre,nch. Well checkto make sure that the rack is snug inside our hitch and then we can check for some clearance measurements. From thefarthest part of our bumper to the closest part of the bike rack measures about 1 inch of rear clearance. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today we have with us the 2011 Jeep Patriot, and we're going to be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 Hitch Mounted BikeCarrier part number th9025. To mount the carrier to our vehicle, were going to insert the shank of our bike rack into thereceiver tube of our vehicle. Well push it forward until the self-latching hitch pin closes in on our hitch pinhole. Then welltighten down the anti-rattle device to take out any play between the bike rack and hitch. Once weve made sure our bikerack is secure, were going to go ahead and check some clearance measurements behind our vehicle. Theres about 2 inchesof rear clearance from the furthest point of our bumper to our hand knob. more

SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today we have with us the 2011 Jeep Patriot. We're going to be testing the SportRackEZ 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier part number a30901. To mount the bike rack to ourvehicle, we'll insert the shank of the rack into the receiver tube on our hitch.We'll line up the hitch pinholes and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt using a3/4 inch wrench. With the bike rack secured to our hitch, we're going to check someclearance measurements at the rear of our vehicle. There's about 6 inches of rearclearance from the furthest point of our bumper to the closest point ofthe bike rack. We've added about 23 inches of overall length, and there'sabout 15 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground.Next we'll check for rear vehicle access. more

Today on our 2011 Jeep Patriot we are going to be test fitting the SportRack Escape 3 Bike Hitch Mounted Biker Carrier. This is Part Number a30403. To mount the bike carrier, we will fit the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We will line up the hitch pin holes and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. Next we will check for some clearance measurements. There is about 4 inches of rear clearance from the farthest point of our bumper to the closest point of the bike rack. more
