The XC2 is gonna be a very popular option because it's at a very affordable price point where you still get the stability of a platform rack without paying the usual platform rack prices. This is gonna be a very minimalistic bike rack, though, where you have your basic features and ideal for people that don't wanna spend extra for features they may not need. So all in all, this can carry a 35-pound bike, or two of them, actually. And then you have your basic wheel hoops and a frame mount. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So the Destination four is actually one of my favorite bike racks to recommend for people just getting into the bike rack world because it's very versatile, it's very lightweight, it's very compact, and it can carry most types of bikes. Now it does have its downsides too where it has a 35 pound per bike weight capacity. So if you have a heavy electric bike, this might not be the best fit for you, but if you're looking for something that is not super duper large, but has the stability of a platform rack, this is a great option to look at. Now we are missing out on a feature here, which is gonna be the tilt away feature. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Ford Rider SE2 for electric bikes on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you have an inch and a quarter or a two inch hitch that is a class two or higher, we're going to be able to put the Sport Rider SE2 into the hitch be able to carry two heavy bikes, it's about 80 pounds per bike. So if you have two electric bikes, or two fat tire bikes, it's gonna work for that, we can put it on pretty much anything that doesn't have a hitch in between your vehicle that's driving, and whatever you're putting this on, meaning no fifth wheel trailers, no travel trailers, but we can't put it on a motorhome if you have one of those. One feature I really look for in bike racks is the ability to tilt with the bikes installed, so you don't have to mess with taking all the bikes off just to get into the back hatch. So to do that, we have a little pin down low and it is gonna need to be lifted up a little bit to get that pin out. more

So, if you're looking for a bike rack, that really looks good, comes with all the goodies, and is going to be able to fit your carbon fiber bikes, this is going to be the bike rack for you.So, first things first, let's go over the limitations of this bike rack. We can't get any tires with a wheel with a three inches on here. So, be mindful of that. Also, with the tire diameter, we are looking between 26 and 29 inches. more

This is going to be one of the largest bike racks that we offer, has really good capacity. I think it's one of the best looking bike racks, and I just like the way the Kuat bike racks function. I think they're some of the smoothest operating ones. And I personally think this one looks a lot better than the NV 2.0, the regular style one. Those look really sharp, but I just think that the matte black finish on this looks really good on the back of vehicles. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of Thule roadway hanging style 2 bike rack. That part number is TH912XTR. Now, the first thing we're going to go over is how our bike is strapped down. We've got 2 cradles up at the top with 3 straps, 2 on the frame and one is our anti sway strap in the back here. So, when we need to remove those, we just pull down and lift up and we save that anti sway strap for last. We simply pull our bike off. Now, that anti sway straps going to keep a lot of shake and play out of the bike as your heading down road. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the Yakama FullTilt. This is going to be our hanging style, four bike rack, part number Y02462. As you can see, we've already got a bike in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and installed on the back of your Jeep. Let's go ahead and start by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be down here on the bottom side from this point here to the back side of the bumper. We're about 5 and a half inches but do note that it won't come in any further because of the bracket and piece on the side of the shank down here. This does come with your inch and a quarter shank as well as a 2-inch adapter so will be good for your class 1, 2 and 3 hitches. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Bike Porter. This will be your hanging style 4-bike rack, part number SA404B. As you can see, we've already got a bike on our cradle arms so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This does come with your 1-1/4" shank as well as your 2" adapter, so it will be good for your Class I, II, and III hitches. Just keep in mind, with your Class I receivers for your 1-1/4" that you're only going to be able to carry up to 2 bikes because of your hitch's specifications and weight classifications. It's going to have a 2" shank that's going to attach to your 2" receiver via an anti-rattle bolt as well. Let's go ahead and start with a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be from your wheel cradles here to the backside of the bumper at about 6-1/4". Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle is going to be about 42", and our rear ground clearance at about 21-1/2" at this point and about 15-1/2" at that point. more

Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle will be from the rear of the bumper to the back side of the cradle arms here, at about 35-1/2 inches, and our ground clearance from the bottom side, at about 13 inches from the bottom side of the shank here. Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Freedom. This would be your Platform Style 4 Bike Rack, part number SA4414B. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our platform and in place, so you can kind of see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack is going to come with a 2 inch shank for your 2 inch receivers only and be attached using a hitch pin and clip. We'll start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement, and that's going to be from that front angled bracket on the front of the rack to the back side of the receiver at about 9 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle will be from the back side of the bumper to the back side of the cradles at about 37 and 1/4 inches, with our rear ground clearance being that of about 19 inches. Saris Freedom SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Freedom Super Clamp. This is going to be your platform style 2 bike rack part number SA4025. As you can see it is going to be attached with our 1 1/4 shank with our 2 inch adapter anti rattle bolt and a lock to prevent tampering. That anti rattle bolt is going to be a 3/4 inch anti rattle bolt, your 1 1/4 shank with your 2 inch adapter will make it compatible with your class 1, 2, 3 hitches. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be from the wheel cradle on either side to the back side of the bumper at about 11 inches. Overall distance that we've added will be from the back of the bumper to the back side of the cradle arms at about 21 inches and our rear ground clearance will be two measurements, one at 19 3/4 inches to the very back and from the bottom side of the shank at about 13 1/8 inches. more

In this case, on the back of our Jeep. It's going to have a two-inch shank to attach to our two-inch receiver, and we're going to start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement, from the front side of the rack at about 5-7/8 inches. Overall distance we've added to the vehicle will be from the rear of the bumper to the back side of the rack at about 46 inches, with that rear ground clearance of about 21 inches. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Tire Hold III. This will be your platform style 3 bike rack, part number INH305-306. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our platform, already installed and in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it on the back of your vehicle. Now note that this does come with your 1-1/4" shank with a 2" adapter, so it will fit your class I, II, and III receivers. Just keep in mind that with your class I receivers that you will only be able to carry up to 2 bikes. Now with your class II and your class III, you will be able to carry all III. Now let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest measurement is going to be from the t-handle here on the front to the backside of the bumper at about 3-5/8". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle will be from the rear of the bumper to the backside of the cradle arms at about 33", and our ground clearance at about 12-5/8" to the bottom side of the shank here. Next let's talk about how the bike is secured to our rack. You're going to have a lower hanging strap on every other side, or as you can see here, triangular cradles with two straps or one straps. This one straps is going to be your frame strap over the top. more
