Thule Parkway 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today were working with the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and were going to be test fitting the Thule Parkway Two hitch mounted bike carrier, part number TH958. To mount the carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pin hole, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. Next we want to check for rear vehicle access. Well remove the pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. We want to make sure that we can still open the cargo door completely and access the cargo area of our Santa Fe, even with the bike rack installed. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today were working with a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and were going to be test fitting the Thule Doubletrack hitch mounted bike carrier, part number TH990XT. To mount the carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, making sure we line up the hitch pin holes. Then well thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Next well go over a few clearance measurements. Weve got about 10 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. Weve got about two inches of clearance from the closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the bike rack. more

To mount this carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up our hitch pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it down with a wrench. Next well go some clearance measurements. Weve got about 11 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. Weve got about a half inch of clearance between the closest part of the bike rack and the carrier. more

Well grab the switch at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. We want to make sure that we can open the cargo door completely and still access the area, even with the bike rack installed. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today were working with the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and were going to be test fitting the Thule Apex Four hitch mounted bike carrier. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well make sure that we pull over the automatic hitch pin, slide the shank into the receiver tube and let the hitch pin secure on its own. Then well tighten down the bike using the hand knob at the base to activate the anti-rattle device. Next we want to check for rear vehicle access. Well grab the switch at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. We want to make sure that we can open the cargo door all the way and access our cargo area, even with the rack installed. more

SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today, we're working with the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and we're going to be test fitting the SportRack 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, Part Number A30901.To mount the carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier in the receiver tube with the hitch. We'll make sure to line up the hitch pinholes then insert our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it with a wrench. Next, we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We've got about 11-1/2 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. We have about 6 inches of clearance between the closest part of the bike rack and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall, we've added about 23 inches of additional length to the rear of the vehicle. more

To mount our carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll make sure to line up the hitch pinhole and then we'll secure the rack with the pin and clip. Next, we'll go over some clearance measurements. We've got about 11-1/2 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. We've got about 5-1/2 inches of clearance between the closest part of our bike rack and the closest part of our vehicle. more
