Reese Explore Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia we're going to be installing Reese's Explore Four Bike Rack, Part Number 63124.This is a lightweight and compact four bike rack carrier. It's going to carry each bike by the frame.Supporting your frame you'll have a V shaped rubber strap, and it locks into place with the hook and loop fastener.This bike rack will work with any bike that has a straight frame so if you have a fat bike, road bike, dirt bike as long as the frame is nice and even, it will fall in there nicely. If you have an obscure frame there is an adapter that can be made to allow your bike to work with this rack.And while it's all loaded up with your bikes you can pull the pin here . and tilt your bikes down. Giving you access to your rear compartment.As you can see it fully opens with no collisions. So you can get any items that you may need in the back without having to take off all your bikes.And to put it back you simply lift it back up into position and reinstall the pin.When you're ready to remove your bike simply pull the straps off and your bikes gonna be fully supported making it easy to lift it and set it aside.And you can reinstall the fasteners. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're doing a test fit of the Saris Freedom EX Platform style two-bike rack, part number sa4412f. Now we already have our bike secured down, and we're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack.We're gonna come to our rack and push down just a bit on the rack, and pull out on our lever down here. When we pull out, we're able to tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle. In this position we are gonna gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need.What's great about this rack is that we won't have to worry about taking anything off, and we can still see an in between the vehicle and the bike rack to get out those larger items. We'll close our hatch up, then we can lift up on our rack and that locks into place.Now, how our bike is secured down here at the back, we have a cam buckle strap. We're just going to push on the gray cam on the opposite side and pull that strap through. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia we're doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Classic Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That part number is TH9044.Now the first feature we want to go over is one of the key features, our tilting. So we're going to pull out on our pin here at the back, then we're going to pull down on our lever, and tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle. Now we do want to make sure we hold onto our bike rack as well as our bike when we tilt it away, but in this position we are going to gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need. What's great about this is that we don't have to worry about taking our bike rack or our bikes off of our vehicle, and we can also stand between our vehicle and our rack to get those larger or smaller items. Once we close that up we can lift our bike rack up back into place, and we'll take our pin, and we want to make sure we replace that as well. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're doing a test-fit of the Yakima Holdup Platform-Style 2-Bike Rack, that part number is: Y02443.Now, we already have our bike secured down, we're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come here to the side to the red pin, we're going to pinch that together and pull it out. Then we can tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle with our rack fully loaded. In this position, we are not going to be able to gain full access into our hatch because of our handlebars here that would make contact. These are pretty short handlebars, so you probably won't have any luck with any other bikes, but we have a little bit of access back there to get out smaller items on the side. When we're done, we can lift our bike rack straight up until that clicks into place.Now, back here, if we pull up on our red pin and pull our strap through, we can loosen that up. more

Yakima SwingDaddy Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC acadia- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy 4 Bike Rack, part number Y02464. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. We have two ball loppers on the ends here on both arms and we also have these padded cradles here. Once you put the bikes in place, they will not get scratched up and we have the easy to use zip strips to hold them in place. It'll grab your bike by three points. We're going to have two strips up at the top and one off to the side, that's going to be your anti-sway cradle to keep the bikes from moving too close to each other. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia we're going to be test fitting the Swagman XT 2-bike rack, part number S64650. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike attaches to the rack, we're going to have one point of contact at the top of the frame. It's going to be this padded hook up here. Now it is padded so your bike will not get scratched once it's installed. We also have these adjustable wheel cradles at the bottom that can move along the arms here. more
