Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Escape- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're gonna be test fitting the Swagman Quad two and a four bike rack, part number S64692. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.Now, as I said, this is a two and a four bike. Right now we have it in the four bike configuration. If you wanted to convert it to a two bike, there is a bolt on the other side here that you would remove and it does come with the hardware to do this to convert it to a two bike.The cradles themselves here, they are adjustable back and forth. You can see the knobs on the end here, you simply loosen by turning them to the left or tighten them by turning them to the right, and you can adjust them back and forth to accommodate bikes of different sizes and to help out with loading.It does have two straps to hold it by the wheels. more

Today on our 2015 Ford Escape we're doing a test fit of the Thule DoubleTrack Pro platform-style 2-bike rack. That part number is TH9054. Now we already have our bike secured onto our rack. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Escape S64650- Video

Today on our 2015 Ford Escape we'll be taking a look at the Swagman XT platform-style 2-bike rack. That part number is S64650. Now we already have our bike secured down so we're first going to show you how we secure it in place. At our front and back tire we have wheel cradles. These are going to hold our bike tires in place and give us stability when we drive. In the center here we're going to have a padded frame hook. Today on our 2015 Ford Escape we are test fitting our Yakima Full Tilt 4 Bike Rack, part number Y02462. As you can see, we do already have our bike on here. We're just going to show you how we put the bike on, and then also a couple features about the actual bike rack. Now we'll come up here to these straps. They are strapped in on each side and the strap comes out completely. We'll just push down on these two grey levers here and pull the strap out. We'll just set those to the side for a minute. Today on our 2015 Ford Escape we are test fitting the Swagman trail head 4 bike rack, part number S63380. As you can see we do already have our bike on there, we're going to show you how we load up the bike and how it's secured and then also how we connect our Swagman to the vehicle and a little, a couple of the features about it. As you can see here we do have four straps, that's tied on the bike. Three on the frame and then one back here on the seat post. I'm just going to pull those out and release and to reconnect you're just going fit them back into those holes there. Just go ahead and release all these straps. There we are. more

SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Escape- Video

Today, on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're test fitting this Sport Rack 3 bike carrier, part number SR2403. Now, as you can see, we do already have our bike strapped in on the rack. I'm just going to show you how we strap in our bike, nd then also some of the features of the rack itself. We have got 3 straps holding the bike down. The back one here is on the seat post, it's going to be the anti-sway strap and cradle here. That's going to keep your bike from swinging back and forth when you're driving down the road. These 2 straps here are just on the frame, just to hold it in place there. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Escape TH9031XT- Video

Today on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex swinging model, hanging style Ford bike rack, part no. TH9131XT. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here on our cradle arm so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack is going to come with a 2-inch shank to connect to our 2-inch receiver. It's going to connect using an anti-rattle bolt to help reduce the sway, rattle and wobble on the backside. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Escape TH9029XT- Video

Today on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex hanging style 4 bike rack, part number TH9029XT. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack is going to come with 1 1/4" shank as well as a 2" adapter, so you can use it with your class 1,2, and 3 receivers. The thing I do need to stress to you is that if you do intend on using it with your class 1 1 1/4" receiver, is that you'll only be able to carry up to 2 bikes and you're going to need to know the weight of those bikes per your hitch's weight specifications. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be down here on the bottom side to the backside of the bumper. About 2 3/4". more
