Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, were going to do a test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Pro. This is a tilting and folding 4-bike rack. Its been designed for either the inch and a half or 2 inch hitches, part number on it is TH934XTR. To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do, well align our threaded hole up with our hitch pinhole. Then well take the anti-rattle bolt and thread that in. more

We are using the black and chrome here and this part number is N105-107, this is also available in a gun metal gray and orange, that's part number N101-103. Now to begin our test fit, we'll going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver but of our hitch. We want to slide in far enough we line up our pin hole in our hitch pin hole. We'll then take the pin that's provided with the rack. more

Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing 4-bike carrier, part number TH9027. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll allow the integrated hitch pin to fall into place, and we'll secure it to the vehicle by turning the black knob to engage the anti-rattle device. We'll now go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 16" of ground clearance. With the cradle arms folded down, we've added about 14" to the overall length of our vehicle. more

Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Yakima DoubleDown Ace Two Bike Carrier, part number Y02450. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch, installing our pin with the red knob and securing the bike rack to the vehicle by turning the black knob at the back of the shank to engage the anti-rattle device. Well now go over a few clearance of measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 19 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 7-1/2 inches away. With the cradle arms folded down, weve added about 13 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. more
