Today on our 2009 Dodge Journey were going to be test fitting the Sportrack Two hitch-mounted bike carrier part number A30901. To mount our carrier to the vehicle, well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch making sure we line up the hitch pinholes, then well feed in our anti-rattle bolt, thread it in and tighten it down using a wrench.Next well go over some clearance measurements. Weve got about 12 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike carrier to the ground. Weve got about 11 inches between the closest part of the bike carrier and closest part of the vehicle. Overall weve added about 25 inches to the rear of the vehicle. Now we want to check for rear vehicle access. more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Dodge Journey- Video
Today on our 2009 Dodge Journey were going to be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram tilting bike carrier part number SR226247. To mount our carrier to the vehicle, well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, well line up the hitch pinholes, feed in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench then well secure it with a lock. Next well go over some clearance measurements. Weve got about 11 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike carrier to the ground. Weve got about 10 inches between the bike carrier and the vehicle at its closest point. Weve added about 39 inches of overall length to the rear of the vehicle. more
