This comes with your 2 inch shank for your 2 inch hitches only. And it is a nice tilting model. As you can see, we've already got a bike on here, so you can see what it would look like and how it would fit, once it's all complete. We're going to start off by getting a few measurements, that way you know where your tolerances are for your vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom, 4-bike platform style rack for 2-inch hitches, part number SA4414B. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. You'll want to watch for the hitch pinholes to line up. With those in line, we'll take the threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt and thread that into place. We'll go ahead and get this hand tight and then we can finish it off with our wrench. Tightening this down will help take any extra play out off the rack helping to eliminate movement overall going down the road. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town & Country, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom super clamp, two bike platform style rack, part number Sa4025. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our town and country. You'll want to watch for the hitch pin holes to line up. With those in line we can take the provided hitch pin lock and thread that into place. Go ahead and get that hand tight and then we can finish it off with our wrench.Tightening this down will help take any extra play out of the shank of the rack, helping to eliminate movement while going down the road. With that tightened down, we'll snap our lock on to the other side, then turn it to the lock position, that way it snaps on. more

We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. We'll want to watch for the hitch pin holes to line up. With those in line we can insert the included anti-rattle hitch lock. We'll go ahead and thread that down hand tight. Once we have that hand tight we can finish it off with our wrench. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FullTilt 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4- and 2-inch hitches, part #Y02462. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of our rack into the hitch on our Town and Country. You may want to keep a hand on the anti-rattle device to make sure it slides in without binding up. You'll notice the self-locking hitch pin. We'll go ahead and just push that in until it goes into the appropriate hole. We can then tighten the anti-rattle device here at the base of the rack. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country we're going to be test fitting the Saris Bike Porter four bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches part number SA404B. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our Town and Country. You'll want to watch for the hitch pinhole to line up. With that in mind we'll go ahead and take the included threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt and thread that into place. We'll go ahead and get that hand-tight and then we can finish it off with our wrench. Tightening this down helps to take the extra play out of the shank of the rack, which helps to eliminate movement overall as you're going down the road. We'll attach our clip to the other side and grab a few measurements. The closest point of the rack to the vehicle is going to be here at the back of the mast. That measures about five and a half inches. more

The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about two inches. With the cradle arms folded down, weve added about 11 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, well be test fitting the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, part number TH990XT. To being our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, align up our pinholes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten with a wrench. With the platform folded down, we can now have access to our cargo area. To load the bike, well unfold the mast by sliding the grey lever over to the right hand side, put the frame hooks to the top of the mast and well undo the cradle straps. Well set the bike into the wheel cradles, adjust the frame hook tightly against the frame and secure it with the straps. The completes todays test fit for the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, part number TH990XT on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country. more

The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 7 inches. With the cradle arms folded down, weve added about 19 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. Well then pull the lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and well get a measurement of 36 inches added to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, we'll be test fitting the SportRack 2-Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Rack for both 1-3/4 inches and 2 inch Hitches, Part Number A30901. Now to begin our test fit, using the included adapter for the 2 inch hitch, we'll slide up the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole, and install and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. With the anti-rattle bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. At this point, we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack is 13-3/4 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack, here at the wheel cradle to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. We'll now go ahead and unfold the bike rack platform, then open the cargo door. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, we'll be test fitting the SportRack Escape 3-Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier for 1-3/4 inches and 2 inch Hitches, Part Number A30403. Now, with the included adapter for the 2 inch hitch already installed on our bike rack shank, we'll slide up the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole, and install and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack measures 10-3/4 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack, here at the mast, to the back of the vehicle here at the mast, measures 6 inches. We'll now pull the the pin here at the bottom of the mast and tilt the mast out of the way, where we can then open our cargo door. more

Closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 2 inches. We've added about 35 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country we'll be test fitting the Kuat Sherpa folding, tilting platform style two bike carrier, part number S102. Now to begin our test fit using the included adapter for the two inch hitch we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin holes, and slide int eh hitch pin. We can then move to the back of the shank where we'll tighten the knob down securing our bike rack to the vehicle. At this point we'll give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack measures 11 1/2 inches. From the closest point of the bike rack with the platform in the stored position to the back of the vehicle is one inch. more

Now well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. There is about 10 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closet part of the carrier is about 11 inches. With the cradle arms folded down, weve added about 14 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. Well then turn the black knobs at the left and right side of the carrier to swing the cradle arms out and well get a measurement of 39 inches added to the overall length of the vehicle with the cradle arms are folded out. more

Now well go ahead and go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. There is about 11 of ground clearance, the closet part of the vehicle to the closet part of the carrier is about five inches. We have added about 27 to the overall length of the vehicle. To access our cargo area well pull the three pins at the bottom of the carrier to unfold the platform and the mast, this will allow us to have access to our cargo door. more
