Yakima StageTwo 2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video

How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo platform-style bike rack on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. As I mentioned, it is a platform-style bike rack capable of supporting up to 70 pounds per bike, holding our bike predominantly by this wheel hook here and an additional strap on the back tire. It's nice that our rack holds onto our bike using this wheel hook, because that means there's no frame contact with our bike itself, so in the event that you're using a carbon frame bike or an alternative frame bike, it doesn't make any contact with the frame, so it won't damage your frame while you're driving. Another nice feature are the integrated cable locks right in the top of the hook here, so you can just wrap it around the frame of your bike and connect it right here on the front there to keep everything secure. Another great feature that this rack offers is the ability to tilt it away, holding onto the rack itself, pulling that black lever down there at the bottom, gives us plenty of clearance. more

How's it going everyone It's Ethan here with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom Bike Rack on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Saris Freedom is a platform style bike rack capable of holding two bikes up to 60 pounds each, which is pretty impressive considering its small form factor. And it's gonna be holding our bike primarily through these padded rotating center mast hook clamps. One thing to note is that because it is holding the bike by the frame, you're probably gonna want to avoid using carbon frame bikes because you wanna avoid any sort of frame contact with those. And for alternative style bikes, the fact that they rotate and move up and down should be fine, but something to keep in mind. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Swagman Current on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Swagman Current is a platform style bike rack, it's gonna hold the bike in these wheel cradles, and primarily, by our frame. We've got a frame hook on the top and two wheel straps on the bottom for secondary points of contact. The frame hook is going to make frame contact, so that does mean avoiding our carbon frame bikes and picking up a bike adapter bar for any alternative frame bikes just so we have a solid attachment point. With this though, you do have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, so it's gonna be good for some of our e-bikes. more

The Tire Hold is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by the tires. Now, that's gonna mean it has zero frame contacts, so it's gonna be good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and it does have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, so it is gonna be good for some of our smaller e-bikes too. Like many other platform racks this does have the ability to tilt away with bikes loaded. You've gotta handle at the back end that you can give a squeeze to lower it down. more

The Destination is a more entry level platform rack but it's one that I really like just because it works the wide range of bikes and it's fairly easy to use at a really accessible price point. With this, it's a platform style rack, so it's held in these trays and primarily attaches by the frame. Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination e-bike rack on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Hollywood Racks is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by our frame. We've got a clamp that will hold down around the frame, tighten using a hand knob and it's fully lockable. So it does make frame contact which means we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes but this clamp does rotate 360 degrees and it has the ability to pivot and slide and meet the frame where it is. So any sort of alternative frame should be just fine. more
