Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, we are going to be test fitting the Yakima Stickup, a folding and tilting two bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches part number Y02420. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Line up our pin holes. Thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down with the wrench. We'll then secure it with the provided clip. In this position we'll have about twenty three inches worth of ground clearance. The closest one in the rack to the back of our vehicle is about six inches away and overall we've added about nine and a half inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the red knob will allow us to tilt our rack into platform position. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, were going to be test fitting the Swagman XTC4, a platform-style 4-bike rack for 2 inch hitches, part number S64665. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes. Well then thread in our anti-rattle bolt from the right to the left. Before we tighten this bolt down with a wrench, well want to put the lock on. If we wait until its tight, the 7-way plug does cause a little bit of interference. With our lock on, well go ahead and tighten it down, and this will secure our rack to our vehicle. In this position, we have about 22-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. more

To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and then tighten it down with a wrench. In this positive, we have about 22 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 3-1/2 inches away and overall, weve added about 12 inches to the length of our suburban. Pulling the gray lever at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us full access into our hatch. With our mast back in its upright position, well now pull the gray handle located at the top. This will allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. With the arms extended, weve added about 37 inches to the overall length of our suburban. more

To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we'll want to hold out on the attached pin and allow it to fall into our pin hole. We'll then turn the black knob to engage our anti-rattle device and further secure our rack to our vehicle. With our rack secure we'll get a couple of measurements. You'll have about 23-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Suburban is the knob; it's about 2" away. more

The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 6-1/4 inches away and overall we've added about 11-1/2 inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the large grey lever at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle into platform position. In this position we have about 27-1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, we are going to be testing the Swagman Titan. A tilting 4-bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number S63410. To begin our test today, we will slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, grab our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with our wrench. We will then secure it with the provided clip. In this position, we have about 25-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 6" away and overall we've added about 20-1/4" to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the black lever located at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle and as you can see, this gives us full access into our hatch. With our mast back up in its upright position, we'll now pull the black lever located at the top of the mast. This will allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. With our arms extended, we've added about 39" to the total length of our vehicle. We are not ready to load up our bike. We will begin by undoing our cradle straps. We will then grab our bike, place it into the cradles and secure it with the straps. Just like that, we have our bike loaded up and we are ready to head down the road. That will complete today's test fit of the Swagman Titan, part number S63410 on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban. more

We can then secure it using the provided lock. In this position we'll have about twenty two inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about ten and a quarter inches away and overall we've added about twenty one and a half inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the silver pin and clip located at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see this allows us to fully open our hatch. With our mast back in its upright position we'll now pull the large black lever located at the very top of the rack. This is going to allow us to swing out our cradle arms. more

We'll then secure it using the provided lock. In this position we'll have about 25 inches worth of ground clearance, the closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 8 inches away. And overall we've added about 26 inches to length of the Suburban. Pulling the two black pins located on the outside here at the rear of the rack will allow us to tilt our wheel cradles down into position. We'll reinsert the pins to hold them in place. more

Pulling the black pin and clip at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see this gives us full access to our cargo area. With our mast back in its upright position we'll now pull the black pin and clip at the top of the mast. more

Overall we've added about 13-1/2" to the length of our Suburban. We're now ready to swing our cradle arms into position. To do this we'll pull the silver pins at the top of the mast, rotate them into position, and reinsert the pins to hold them in place. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, we are going to be test fitting the Pro Series Q Slot platform style tilting two bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches part number PS63134. To being our test we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with the clip. In this position we have about twenty four and a half inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about nine inches away and overall we've added about twenty five inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the two silver pins located on the outside here at the rear of the rack, it will allow us to tilt our wheel cradles down into position. We'll reinsert the pins to hold them in place. We'll now pull the silver pin located at the base of the center mast. This will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle and as you can see this gives us full access into our cargo area. With our mast back in its upright position, I'd get a quick ground clearance measurement here and it looks like we'll have about twenty six and a quarter inches worth of clearance here at the rear of the rack. more

Today with our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom, a platform style four-bike rack for two-inch hitches, Part #SA4414B. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread on our anti-rattle bolt from the left to the right, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it with the provided clip. In this position, we have about 22-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 4-1/2" away, and overall we've added about 17-3/4" to the length of the car. Holding the gray handle at the top of the rack, it will allow us to tilt it away from the vehicle into the platform position. In this position, we have about 29-1/2" worth of ground clearance here at the rear of the rack. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Suburban is now about 10-1/2" away, and overall we've added about 39" to the length of the vehicle. As you can see in this position, we do have access to open our rear hatch. We're now ready to load up our bike. more

Well then tighten it down with a wrench and secure it with the provided lock. In this position we have about 22 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about seven inches away, and overall weve added about 38 inches to the length of our Suburban. A nice feature of the Dura Parallelogram is the removable cradle arms. To remove them well simply push over on the two black tabs located on the back of the rack and slide them out of the rear. more

Pulling the yellow T-handle at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this does give us full access into the hatch. Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow N' Go Hitch Mounted 3-Bike Rack, part number HR135. For today's test fit we'll be using the Hidden Hitch Ball Mount with an extra long shank, part number 80232 - and it is sold separately. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. We'll then line up our pinholes, slide in our pin, and secure it with the clip. For our test fit today we're using a simple pin and clip. As you can see, this does allow for movement or shake in our bike rack. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided clip. In this position, we have about 22-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 9-1/2 inches away, and overall, we've added about 15-1/4 inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the black pin and clip at the base of the mast allows us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us full access to our rear hatch. With our mast back in its upright position, we'll now extend our dual cradle arms. To do this, we're going to loosen the black knob located on each side of the rack, move the arms outward, rotate them up into position, and then tighten down that black knob to secure them in place. more
