Hi there, biking enthusiasts. Today on your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at Thule's Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Rack Hanging Carrier. What I really like about this bike rack on our Silverado is it gives us the option to take four bikes with us without taking up any of our truck bed space, so we can still fit all of our gear in there when we go on vacation.Each of the four bikes are held in place using three cradles. There's two on top and then one on the vertical shaft here on one side. The one on the vertical shaft prevents any sway, so that way there's no bike to bike or bike to rack contact. They're secured to the cradles using the rubber straps. more

A great thing about having a bike rack on your Silverado is you can keep the bikes out of the bed of your truck, so when you go on vacation you'll have plenty of room for all of your gear.Compared to other style bike racks out there, this is a platform bike rack, which will support the bike by the wheels. This is great for carbon fiber bikes because you don't want to support those by the frame, as it can potentially cause damage to carbon fiber frames. Platform bike racks are also easier to load than hanging bike racks because you don't have to lift them up so high. I also like the way that you can take off whichever bike you want in no particular order.On a hanging bike rack, if your bike is the bike that's furthest in, you have to take off all the racks on the outside to get to that one. more
