Today on this 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, were gonna do a test fit of part number TH9029 from Thule, the Vertex 4 Bike Carrier.One quick note about this bike carrier is that you can use it with 1 -inch hitches both class 1 and class 2. However, when you use it with a class 1 application, youre only good for 2 bikes. And this work with 2-inch receiver hitches with a provided spacer.Well go ahead and start off our test fit by installing a bike rack into the hitch then tightening down the anti-rattle bolt.Alright, with the bike installed, lets get some clearance measurements. The clearance between the bike rack and the bumper is going to be 1 inches and ground clearance is gonna be 7 inches. Now well go ahead and check trunk access with the bike rack fold up. About 1 of room.Now well go ahead and tilt the bike rack back and show how much room we gained. more

All right, today on this 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to do a test fit of part number TH9025 from Thule, the Apex 4 Bike Carrier. Some notes about this bike rack is that it will work with 1-1/4-inch receiver hitches both class 1 and class 2. However, in a class 1 application, you're only limited to two bikes. It will also work in a 2-inch receiver with the provided spacer. We'll start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch. We'll pull out the integrated hitch pin and slide in the hitch into the bike rack and allow it to snap back into the hitch pin hole. more

SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Today on this 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to do a test fit of part number A30901 from SportRack. We'll go ahead and start off our test fit with the bicycle rack installed in the hitch so we just add our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down, and put the safety pin on the other side. Okay, with the bike rack installed, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements for clearance. As its closest point to the bike rack to the bumper, we're looking at 4-1/2 inches. The ground clearance by the hitch is going to be 8-3/4 inches. Ground clearance at the very back of the rack will be 13-1/2 inches. more

Rhode Gear Highway Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Alright, today on this 2011 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to do a test fit of part number RG8015220 from Rhode Gear their Highway 2 Bike Carrier. Ok, a couple quick notes about this bicycle rack is that it will work with class I and class II receiver hitches. It will also work with 2-inch receiver hitches with the provided spacer. We'll start our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch. Then we'll tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the hitch pin on the other side.
