Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

Today on our 1999 Chevrolet Blazer we'll be test fitting the Swagman Titan four bike carrier, part number S63410. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening with a wrench. Now, we'll go over some clearance measurements. We have about 16 and a half inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our vehicle is about nine inches and we've added about 21 inches to the overall length of our Blazer. We'll pull the lever here at the base of the mast to allow our carrier to tilt away from our Blazer. This gives us full access to our cargo area by being able to open our rear hatch. With our mast back in it's upright position, we'll pull the lever at the top of the mast to swing out our dual arms. more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

Today on our 1999 Chevrolet Blazer we'll be test fitting the Soft Ride Dura Parallelogram Tilting four bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number SR26247. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it with a wrench, and installing the lock. Now we'll go over some clearance measurements. We have about thirteen and a half inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our vehicle is about an inch. We've added about thirty-three inches to the overall length of our Blazer. We'll undo the cradle straps and with our cradles exposed, we'll place our bike onto the frame cradles. We'll secure it by tightening down each strap. One of the cool features of the Parallelogram is its ability to tilt with the bike loaded. If we pull the pin here at the top of the mast, we can tilt our carrier away from our vehicle. This gives us full access to the cargo area by being able to open our rear hatch. That completes today's test fit of the Soft Ride Dura Parallelogram, part number SR26247, on our 1999 Chevrolet Blazer. . more
