Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 Ram 2500, we're gonna be checking out the CURT Gooseneck Kit for those trucks that have the OEM prep package. So this kit right here, it's gonna come with everything you need to safely hook up to your gooseneck trailer. And these OEM prep packages are awesome. Ram really did think things through when making these trucks and they make it super easy to use a gooseneck or even a 5th wheel hitch for that matter. Best 2018 Ram 2500 Gooseneck Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be looking at the best gooseneck options for our 2018 Ram 2500. While all of these will work with your Ram 2500 to allow you to haul a gooseneck trailer, there are some keys differences that'll set them apart.The biggest difference is going to be their towing capacities. Both our B&W and our CURT are going to have a max towing limit of 30,000 pounds and a max vertical load limit of 7,500 pounds, while our Draw-Tite's going to be a little bit less, with a maximum towing capacity of 20,000 pounds and a maximum vertical load limit of 5,000 pounds. It is always recommended to check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it's not going to exceed any of its towing or load limit capacities.Now what's really nice about the way all of these goosenecks install on our Ram 2500 is that there's no additional rail kit required. Most other vehicles require this additional rail kit, whereas our Ram 2500 has an existing rail system already included in the vehicle where these will just bolt right up to it using the hardware provided. Now you will still need to drill your holes for your safety chains and ball, but there'll be done frame drilling, which saves a lot of time. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ram 2500, we're going to be installing the B and W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part number BWGNRK1384.This is an ideal setup for hauling your gooseneck trailer. It can be later upgraded with the B and W companion for your fifth wheel trailer.When hooking up your companion for your fifth wheel trailer, it just slides right into the slot in your center unit. There's a release lever on your driver's side wheel well. This is for your ball mount. You can lock it forward to keep it released, and pull it back and let it in to lock your ball in place. This is convenient and easy to access.One of the main benefits of this kit versus others is that you'll be able to have full truck bed access. more
