Best 2014 Ram 2500 Gooseneck Options- Video

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be looking at the best gooseneck options for our 2014 Ram 2500.While all of these will work with your Ram 2500 to allow you to haul a gooseneck trailer, there are some key differences that'll set them apart. The biggest difference is going to be their towing capacities. Both our B&W and our Curt are going to have a max towing limit of 30,000 pounds and a max vertical load limit of 7,500 pounds, while our Draw-Tite's going to be a little bit less with a maximum towing capacity of 20,000 pounds and a maximum vertical load limit of 5,000 pounds. It is always recommended to check your vehicle owner's manual to make sure it's not going to exceed any of its towing or load limit capacities.Now, what's really nice about the way all of these goosenecks install on our Ram 2500 is that there's no additional rail kit required. Most other vehicles require this additional rail kit, whereas our Ram 2500 has an existing rail system already included in the vehicle where these will just bolt right up to it using the hardware provided. Now, you will still need to drill your holes for your safety chains and ball, but there'll be no frame drilling which saves a lot of time. more

Today on our 2014 Ram 2500, we're going to be showing you how to install the Hide-A-Goose Custom Underbed Goose Neck Trailer Hitch, offering a twenty thousand pound gross trailer weight capacity. It's part number is 9467. Now here's what our gooseneck's going to look like installed. A big benefit, full bed access here when not in use. We don't have anything sticking up here that we're going to have work around. You can see our safety chain loops, down in the bed, spring loaded so we can draw those up when we need to and connect our chains. You'll notice this one is hanging out just a little bit higher. more

Curt Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Ram 2500- Video

Today in this 2014 Ram 2500 Crew Cab, we're going to show you the Curt Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, Part Number C60614. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed in the bed of the truck. As you can tell there's not much to see. Obviously, we have our hitch ball right here in the middle for your goose neck trailer. When we're not using this, this ball is completely removable. It's pretty simple, just pull up on this little tab right here on top of the ball, and then you can simply pull it out. What happens these two little bearings right here are loosed inside the shank when the lever's pulled up. more
