Ryan: Hey everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2014 Toyota Tundra, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the MagnaFlow Cat-Back exhaust system. So when it comes to exhaust, the main thing everyone wants to know is how is it going to sound compared to the factory exhaust So what we're going to do is fire up the truck, let it idle, maybe bring it through the RPM range a little bit, see how it sounds with our factory exhaust, that way once we get our MagnaFlow system on, we can compare the two. So, what we can do now is just get inside the truck, we're going to take off and see how our factory exhaust sounds from in the cab. Now that we have our MagnaFlow system installed, it's a moment of truth. more

Today, in our 2016 Ram 2500, we'll be installing the Magnaflow Pro Series Filter Back Exhaust System for diesel engines, part number MF18912. Here's what our exhaust system looks like installed. This is a complete system, all the way from the diesel exhaust filter, all the way back to our 6 inch polished tip. This exhaust is constructed of an aluminized steel construction, so will provide us with many years of rust resistant service. Not only does it improve the looks of our truck, but it will help improve fuel economy a little bit, give us a little bit more power, and give us a more aggressive exhaust node. Here's what our exhaust system consists of. All of our piping that we have here today is a 5 inch diameter pipe. more

MagnaFlow Turndown Cat-Back Exhaust Installation - 2013 Ram 1500

Today on our 2013 Ram 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the MagnaFlow Turndown Cat-Back Exhaust System, part number MF17108. Now, what's really nice about this that's going to set it apart from some of the others on the market, these are designed to work with your lifted or lowered vehicles, especially ones with airbags where your exhaust is going to be a concern coming up over our axle and going close to our airbags. It's all stainless steel, 100% stainless steel, and it's got mandrel bends. The mandrel bend means it's going to stay the same size all the way through the bend, not crushing down and interfering with your exhaust flow. Now, one thing you might want to note, you want to check your state's laws for exhaust because this one does drop out in front of our rear end. In some states it's required that it goes past the rear axle, so you want to make sure that it's actually allowed in your state. With the free-flowing exhaust it's going to help with our torque and horsepower and help with our fuel efficiency. Now, you can see our new MagnaFlow exhaust is considerably smaller than our factory one. more

It is a steel construction with an aluminum coating on the outside and on the inside of the pipe. It uses 1/2-inch thick rods welded to the pipe here, and it goes up to the factory rubber hangers on the truck. more

Today on our 2006 Ford F-150 we'll be installing the MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System part number MF16616. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the old or manufacturer's exhaust. Starting at the clamp just behind the Y pipe of the exhaust, we're going to spray it down with some spray lubricant. Note over time this clamp will rust up and can be extremely difficult to get off. In severe cases it may even break. If that happens, it'll be necessary to replace it. In an event where it's so rusted that you can't get a wrench or socket to hold, we'll use a pair of vise grips to try and break it free. more

To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the older manufacturer's exhaust. Starting here at the rear of the vehicle, we're going to spray the two rubber isolators, forward and back of the muffler. I'll also go ahead and spray the spring nuts that hold the rear section of the exhaust to the forward section of the exhaust at the exhaust flanges. By spraying the rubber isolators with some spray lubricant, it'll make it easier to remove. We're going to use a pry bar, pliers or, if you have an exhaust hanger removal tool. Starting at the back, we'll begin removing the rubber isolators, noting that on the rear hangers, there's also a metal ground strap. more

Before we get started, we'll go ahead and listen to the sound of our truck so we can compare to it afterwards. Before we begin our install, we'll go ahead and lay out our pieces to get an idea how everything will fit together. First off we have our muffler which we still have in our protective coating while we install it and we'll just hold it up underneath there and get an idea of how it aligns with the factory hangers. Now optionally, this is the straight pipe that eliminates the muffler. Typically, you would use this in off-road applications or racing applications. Now this piece goes over top of the axle. more

Camco Gen-Turi RV Generator Exhaust System Manufacturer Review

Joe: Hi. My name is Joe with Camco Manufacturing. Today I would like to talk to you about the Gen-turi Generator Exhaust System. As an Rv-er, you will rely on your generator when there is no power hookup available, but along with the convenience comes undesirable noise and exhaust fumes. Running your Rvs generator produces harmful and potentially deadly carbon monoxide. During Rv rallies and times when there is a large concentration of Rvs, what we call dry camping, exhaust can become on even greater problem, concentrated carbon monoxide can spread up to 15' from the exhaust pipe. more

MagnaFlow Exhaust Installation - 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP

Today on this 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP we are going to install part number MF16726 from MagnaFlow. The first thing you do is get underneath the vehicle and we will spray down the bolts that are on the exhaust with some penetrant and that should hopefully loosen them up. When a car is a few years, these fasteners will be rusted pretty well so you may end up breaking them. So be prepared to just replace the fasteners. Now we are going to leave this nut partially on for now because we need to hold it up while we disassemble the rest of the exhaust. So we will move on down towards the back of the vehicle and we will add a strap to help hold up the exhaust while we remove the rubber isolators. Ok, we are going to spray down the rubber isolators with some penetrant and go ahead and remove them. It looks like we have them all done on the passenger side. Now we will move over to the driver side and remove those. 1:00 more

MagnaFlow Exhaust Installation - 2007 Ford F-150

Today on a 2007 Ford F-150 we will be installing a MagnaFlow performance exhaust, part number MF16523. Our first procedure is going to be soaking down our clamp and hardware. I highly recommend that you soak this down several times and let it sit for at least 30 minutes before trying to break this nut loose. These bolts tend to become extremely rusted and very difficult to remove. As you can see, we have already gotten this nut broken loose. This clamp is loose but, if it becomes difficult to back off, I recommend that you work the nut back and forth, on and off, breaking free the rust that has built up in the threads of the clamp. After giving it a few taps with the hammer, you will notice that the clamp came loose and broke the rust free. Now that my clamp is loose, I just want to spread it open a little bit to make it easier to remove the exhaust pipe. 0:58 more

What we did is removed the spare tire. You do not have to do that but it makes things a lot easier to get to. It makes everything easier to see as well. Now we also have to remove the exhaust. So what we are going to do first off is go ahead and start removing the rubber hangers from the exhaust and also the bolts that connect the exhaust to the catalytic converter up front. So we are going to loosen these up first. That way, it puts less stress on the pipes up front when we disconnect the exhaust. Now you want to spray these down really go with a type of penetrant so you do not break the bolts. OK, we have that one loose. 1:05 more

Let it sit for awhile and we will go ahead and loosen them up. And also, you will notice, this is not the original factory connection going to the catalytic converter too. This is actually another aftermarket exhaust. We will leave that set for now. Now we will go back to the rest of the exhaust and remove all of the rubber hangers. Just spray them down with some lubricant also and pull them apart. Alright, we will just push it to one side and pull it out. And then we will pull out the other side. You should be able to pull it all out as one piece. 0:56 more
