Best 2010 Toyota Highlander Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2010 Toyota Highlander. First we've got our CURT customer vehicle wiring harness, part number C56217. Then we've got our Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness, part number 118449. Lastly we've got our CURT customer vehicle wiring harness, part number 56042. The first obvious difference that we're going to see here is that with this wiring harness over here this CURT does not have as much as the others. That's because if you have a Highlander that already has the tow package with the conveter mounted underneath the dash, this is all that you're going to need. But, if you don't, then one of these other two kits will be the right fit for you. The first difference that we're going to look at between the CURT and the Tekonsha wiring harnesses is the amperage rating on each circuit. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2010 Toyota Highlander we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the four pole flat trailer connector, part number is C56217. When we do need it, it's just a matter of pulling it right out just like this, we'll allow it to rest right there on that weather stripping. That'll give us good protection so it doesn't get pinched or anything like that. Then we'll just be bale to connect it right to our trailer. When we're down with it, of course, when you do close your door, make sure you don't have it around your striker here. That'll cause issues of course. Then when we're done with it, we're just going to bunch this up and slide our and slide our disk cap right over the end of it there, bring it around and that'll hold it all together nicely for us until we need it again. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Toyota Highlander 118449- Video
Today on this 2010 Toyota Highlander we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118449. The first thing I want to point out about our harness is that it comes in two separate pieces. We have got the first section which has an in line fuse in the modulite box as well as the port to plug in the vehicle. This is going to plug in underneath the dash on the driver side of the vehicle. The second part of the harness plugs into the rear of the vehicle inside the rear cargo compartment and that will finalize the tow package for us. We are going to start here inside the vehicle up underneath the dash and plug our first part of the harness in place. The port is located underneath the dash just left of the brake pedal taped to the main wiring harness. All we need to do in here is plug it in line and then we see on the back side of the modulite box we have got double sided tape. We want to find a good spot up in here and adhere the box to it. 00:54 more
