Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness here on our 2015 Nissan Xterra. So our trailer wiring harness simply put is gonna transfer these signals from our vehicle to our trailer. So we can let other motorists out in the road know what we're gonna be making. So this is not only a legal requirement but a lot of times your larger camping trailers are actually gonna block the taillights on your vehicle. So you do need a way to transfer those signals from the vehicle to the trailer. So this particular kit has a four pole, or a four-way flat trailer connector. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at best custom fit vehicle wiring harnesses available for the 2015 Nissan Xterra. Now the one thing you'll need to decide in your wiring harness is going to be whether you want a four-pole flat style, which will give us turn, brake, and running light signal, or whether your need something like a seven-way, or a seven-pole plug. Now the seven-pole plug is going to have all those. It's going to have our turn, stop signals, it's going to have our running lights. It's also going to include a reverse signal for a marine style trailer application, a brake controller lead if you do install a brake controller in the Xterra to bring that power rearward and also a 12 volt power wire, which will give us 12 volt power at our plug for a jack, or maybe a trickle charge for a battery, or something like that.
