Then finally over here we're going to have the Hopkins. Now the way we're going to mount our converter box in our vehicle is going to differ from each kit. Now with our CURT here, they do provide us with some double-sided foam tape so we're going to need to find a flat surface that we can mount this to. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Mazda CX-9

Today on our 2010 Mazda CX9 we're going to install the CURT 4-pole wiring trailer connector, part number 56016. Now to use our new 4-pole connector we'll simply open up the rear cargo area, storage component, taking our 4-pole harness, running it out over the rear threshold. Stay away from the latch, as pinching it off in the latch can damage the wire. However, our weather stripping is thick enough that we can simply close the rear hatch on it. Then we can take our 4-pole connector and run it down to our hitch and use it with our accessory. Then once we're done we'll simply open up the rear hatch, the rear storage compartment, where we're going to house the 4-pole connector. To begin our install we'll first open up the rear hatch. more

Today on this 2010 Mazda CX9 were going to install part number 118520 from Tow-Ready. The first thing need to do is open up the back hatch. What we need to do is get access behind the tail light so that means have to remove all the floor coverings. It looks like Ive got to take the subwoofer now and move it out of the way so we can move this panel out. Well unsnap our electrical connector and we get back to the threshold and remove it. Theres a tie down loop here and here we have to remove. more
