Hey, guys. It's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2020 Kia Telluride, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT seven-pole wiring harness. Adding the seven-pole wiring harness to the back of your Telluride is gonna allow you to pull trailers, not only just standard trailers, but also trailers with brakes. That is the point of a seven-pole. In addition to your four normal functions, which are gonna be strictly based off your taillights, your stop, your left and right turn and your running light signal, you're going to get your auxiliary battery signal, which is a charge line, essentially, from your vehicle to your trailer battery. more

So right here we have the Tekonsha kit and this one is the Curt kit. Usually what I would do is right off the bat say what wiring I would choose for my own vehicle and why. Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2020 Kia Telluride- Video
Hi there Telluriders, today in our 2020 Kia Telluride, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's T-One four-pole flat trailer connector vehicle wiring harness. This four-pole wiring harness is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting that you'll need to keep you DOT compliant in all states. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps. One of the things that I like about this harness is that it has a module that's included in it, and it plugs directly into your vehicle's factory tow package connector. The module's is going to monitor all of the outputs on your four pole flat connector, and if it detects any faults, it's going to shut down that circuit. This is nice because if you do have any faults on your trailer, it's not going to cause any damage to any of the wiring on your vehicle.We'll begin our installation underneath the vehicle. more
