Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2012 Kia Sportage. Here we have the Tekonsha, that's going to be part number 118526. Here in the middle is the Curt, and that's going to be part number C56251. Finally, here on the end, this is going to be the Hopkins, and that's going to be part number HM11143795. The end result in all our kits is going to be the same. It's going to give us a 4 pole 00:00:29 flat allowing us to have our clearest lights, turn signals and brake lights on our trailer. All of the wiring kits are going to stay inside of our vehicle until we're ready to use them, then we can drape it out and close our hatch. Each one of our kits is going to use a powered taillight converter, and that's going to keep our vehicle protected from any issues that may arise on our trailer end, and keep any feedback from damaging our electrical system. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Kia Sportage- Video
Today on our 2012 Kia Sportage, were gonna install a Tow-Ready T1 Connector part number 118526. First, were gonna need to access the cargo area of the vehicle. Next were gonna remove the rear cargo liner and flooring. Were gonna remove the rear cargo tray compartment also. Now, with that out of the way, well go ahead and remove the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, there are three fasteners that well have to remove first. more
