Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Kia Sorento- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha OEM trailer wiring harness here on our 2018 Kia Sorento. So this is what our trailer connector looks like installed on the vehicle, now, granted, you will need to come up with your own way to physically mount the trailer connector. We'll go over this a little bit further in the video, but we're using a series of brackets, which we do sell at etrailer. It gives you a nice clean, finished install look. So this particular harness here provides us with a seven way trailer connector. Now the seven way trailer connectors are going to be required for some of those larger trailers with electric brakes. more

Clayton: Hey guys, how's it going Clayton here at etrailer.com Today, we'll be taking a look at the best trailer wiring options for your 2018 Kia Sorento.Now, these two are for a Sorento without a factory tow package, and these are for your Sorento with a factory tow package. So we do have quite a few options. These two are both going to be from Tekonsha, and these two are both going to be from Curt.Between these two, I would go with the Tekonsha for a couple of reasons. One being that our unit has potting inside, and that's going to keep our wires from coming out of the circuit board. Our Curt does not have that, and sometimes that's where these tend to fail.Another nice thing about our Tekonsha is our dust cover is built onto our plug, so it's more likely to stay on there after years of use. But a nice feature about the Curt is if this does fall off, you can replace it.There's a heat shrink butt connector on our Curt. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe C56332- Video
Today in our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're gonna be installing Curt's T-Connector vehicle wiring harness for factory tow packages. Part number C56332.This is what our harness will look like when it's installed. It's long enough to reach the center of the vehicle, to plug into whatever accessories you may have and provide lights to that. This is a 4 pole connector, so it's gonna provide you with left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and break lamps. It's gonna be DOT compliant in all states.Additionally, there's a dust cap that comes included with it to help keep out any dirt and debris, so you have a long-lasting connection. You can attach the connector to your hitch using the dust cap to help keep it up, out of the way, and from dragging down on the road.This is an easy installation because it plugs directly into your factory wiring, and it goes to a module and fuse. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on this 2018 Kia Sorento, we're going to review and install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness from Tekonsha, part number 118583. This is what the wiring harness looks like when it's installed. As you can see, there's not all that much to see, but this is our 4-pole flat, built-in cover. As you can see, it comes with a cover to match up to it, keep the dust and corrosion out of it. You can it as a hook to hold it place, or if you can also get an optional bracket that'll work with this 4-pole connector as well. Our wires are built into a module and two T connections that go onto your vehicle and plus a power wire going up front.Let's go ahead and take a more detailed look at these parts before we install it. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Kia Sorento- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Kia Sorento, we're gonna taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package with a four pole flat trailer connector. That's gonna be part number C56332. Here's what our wiring's gonna look at once we have it installed. It is gonna stay on the outside of our vehicle, but the nice thing is is that it's gonna be right here next to the hitch whenever we're ready to tow.It's gonna provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector which is gonna give us all the required lights to get our trailer down the safely such as our brake lights, turn signals, and our taillights. Comes with this nice dust cover that's gonna keep all the debris and moisture out and hopefully prevent any kind of corrosion building up on the inside, and it is permanently attached, so we're not gonna have to worry about losing it.The nice thing about this wiring is that it's gonna work with our factory tow package, so we're not gonna have to cut into any wires or splice into any factory wires. We're gonna have two plugs that are gonna be underneath the vehicle that we're gonna use. more
