Shane: Hey, everyone. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2014 Kia Sorento, and I want to walk through how to install Tekonsha's T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for vehicles that have a factory tow package. Now, how you determine on your Kia Sorento if your vehicle has factory tow package is under the driver's side. If you have a panel there, the panel obviously have to be removed, but there's going to be two plugs that stick out that are going to have caps on them. That's going to determine that you have factory tow package. If those two plugs are not there, then you know you don't have factory tow package. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Kia Sorento C56151

Today on our 2014 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Connector, part #C56151. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and get underneath the vehicle and locate the manufacturer's tow ports located on the driver's side behind the rear wheel. Once we've located them we'll need to remove the connector cover. We'll set it aside as it will not be reinstalled. We'll repeat the same process with our second connector. Now, with both wiring ports exposed, we can go ahead and take the Curt T-Connector and plug directly into the manufacturer's tow port. We'll give it a quick tug to make sure that it locked into place. Next we'll go ahead and we'll install the red 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder and then replace the cap. Now we'll mount the converter box. Once we adhere the adhesive to the converter box, we'll go ahead and remove the second side of the two-way adhesive and attach the converter box to a clean flat surface, preferably sheet metal. more
