Best 2012 Kia Optima Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Kia Optima we'll be having a look at our best trailer wiring options. We have two wiring harnesses here today. This one here is the Tekonsha T-One, part number 118453. This one here is the CURT T-Connector, part number C56314.The first biggest difference that we found between our two wiring harnesses here today is as far as ease of install. Our Tekonsha wiring harness we simply plug into our vehicle's taillights and ground it with a sheet metal screw to the vehicle's chassis. However, on our CURT wiring harness we have one additional step. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Kia Optima- Video
Today on this 2012 Kia Optima, we're going to install part number 118453 from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is open up the trunk and then we'll remove the floor liner, and then we'll go ahead and remove the threshold. There will be three fasteners on each side that we have to remove. Once the fasteners are removed, we can go ahead and pull up gently from the bottom and it pops right out. All right, now we'll go ahead and remove the liner on each side of the vehicle. There will be two fasteners that we need to remove as well and then we can go ahead and pull back the liner, and then we can see our connection point for our T1 connector. more
