Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118727.This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. You can see here our customer has purchased a 4-pole bracket. This is going to give you all the proper functions for your trailer, your brake lights, both turn signals, your tail lights, and your ground. Again, you have a dust cap that is on this wiring. It's going to help keep the elements off of all of your connections, help them keep from corroding. Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be having a look at our best trailer wiring options. We have three options here today for the Jeep Grand Cherokee that is equipped with the factory tow package. If you don't have the factory tow package, we have several options available on our website for you. Over here to the right we have the Hopkins seven and four-pole trailer connector socket with mounting bracket. It's part number HM40975. In the middle we have a Tekonsha Multi-Tow seven-way and four-pole trailer connector, part number 20119. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package with a 7-Way and 4-Pole Flat Connector, part number C55774. We have our 7-way adapter here. This will allow us to tow a multitude of different trailers, such as ones that have electric brakes, provided we have a brake controller installed inside of our Jeep. Over to our side, we have a separate 4-pole flat, which is what most standard small trailers use to control their lighting functions, including most rental trailers. What's nice about having this to the side of your 7-way, is you don't need to have an adapter in order just to tow a small trailer; you have the option for both right there, no adapters required, one less thing to worry about losing. What I really like about our Curt wiring harness that we have here compared to some of the options from some of the competitors out there, is that it's a complete package. We have the 7-way, we have our 4-way, we have a bracket to mount it to our vehicle, and it goes right into the vehicle's existing tow package wiring, no modifications to the vehicle required at all. Now, one thing I would like to point out, once you install this wiring, it probably won't work in most cases. You'll have to go to your local Jeep dealership and have the computer re-flashed inside the vehicle in order to enable the factory tow package. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today in our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package with a four pull flat trailer connector, part number C55384. This wiring harness gives us our basic wiring functions that are required by law in order to safely tow a trailer. We have our brown wire here which gives us our taillight and running light circuit on our trailer. Our yellow wire is our left turn signal and left brake light. Our green wire is our right turn signal and right brake light. What I really like about this wiring harness compared to others on the market is that it's a quick and easy plug and play installation, no modifications at all are required to the vehicle in order for it to work. We have this nice black protective loom here which will help conceal our colored wires behind our fascia. It gives us a nice clean look. more

Today in our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and installing the Takonsha T1 Vehicle Wire Harness with four pole flat trailer connector. Part number 118384. Now this four pole flat wiring harness gives us the basic functions that we are required by law in order to safely tow a trailer. We'll have our tail lights and running lights off the brown wire. We'll have our left turn signal and left brake light off the yellow wire. The green wire gives us our right turn signal and our right brake light. more

Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and installing the Hopkins 7- and 4-pole trailer connector socket with mounting bracket. Part number HM40975. One thing that I really like about this wiring harness, is that it gives us all the functions that we're going to need. We have our 4-pole flat, but we also have 7-way, which gives us a charge line, a backup signal, in case we're towing a boat trailer that has a reverse lock-out solenoid on it, and we have backup lights on our trailer. We also have the ability to have trailer brakes, if we have a brake controller installed inside of our vehicle. It gives us them most versatility, compared to a lot of other connectors out there. Which, you're either only have a 7-way or you have a 4-way, sometimes you have a 5-way flat too. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee C56515- Video
Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package Vehicles with a 5-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56515. All right, here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, we have this nice, black loom that wraps our wiring harness. This will help conceal the colored wires behind our vehicle nice and easily, gives us a nice, clean look. We have this dust cap, which is provided, which covers up our electrical connections to help keep dirt, debris, and moisture from entering, causing corrosion, a short, or making it difficult to insert your trailer wiring onto the plug. It also allows you to wrap it around your safety chain loop, so your wiring is readily accessible for when you need to hook up to your trailer. Now, this being a 5-pole flat, we have our basic lighting functions. Our brown wire will give us our taillight signal and our running light signal. more
