Best 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be looking at our best trailer wiring options. All right, we have two wiring harnesses here today. Both of these provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector. Right here we have the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness, part number 11825. Now over here we have the Curt T-Connector, part number C56009. The biggest difference that we found between our two wiring harnesses here, besides the fact they come from different brands, is our dust covers. Our dust cover on the Tekonsha is molded in to the end of our four-pole flat here, so you don't have to worry about it falling off. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Flat Connector, part number C56009. To begin our install we'll first open up the rear hatch and remove the tail lights. To remove the tail lights we'll need to remove the two pushpin fasteners that secure the tail light housing. Taking a flat blade screwdriver we can get underneath the center of the tab, prying it up. Once we have it pried up we can then go ahead and remove the fastener. Then we'll go ahead and remove the tail light assembly. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee HM40975- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to install the Hopkins Trailer Connector, part number HM40975. First, we're going to mount our bracket here to the hitch. It comes with two self-threading screws for the installation. All right, with our bracket mounted, we can now go ahead and take a screwdriver or a trim tool. We're going to go ahead and get our connection which is mounted inside the bumper cover. As you can see from the manufacturer, it comes with a cap on it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 118425- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee were going to install the Tow Ready T1 connector part :# 118425. First well need to access the rear cargo area of the vehicle. Well need to remove the drivers side real taillight lens assembly. There are two fasteners, there are push pin fasteners. Itll take a screwdriver to pry out the center of the fastener and then remove it. With our fasteners out well gently pry the lens assembly out away from the body of the vehicle. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 118384- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee were going to install the Tow Ready T1 connector part #: 118384. This connector is going to plug in directly into the manufactures 7 pole harness. The harness is located inside the rear bumper cover and well go ahead and pop it free with a plastic snap holding it in place, bring it out to where we can access it. Now, well press on the locking tab and remove the connector cap. Now our new Tow Ready harness has two ends on. This will allow you to connect an additional 7 pole connector. more
