Best 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailer Wiring Options

Today on our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be looking at our best trailer wiring options. All right, we have two wiring harnesses here today. Both of these provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector. Right here we have the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness, part number 118425. Now over here we have the CURT T-Connector, part number C56009. The biggest difference that we found between our two wiring harnesses here, besides the fact that they come from different brands, is our dust covers. Our dust cover on the Tekonsha is molded into the end of our four-pole flat here so you don't have to worry about it falling off, whereas on our CURT here, it's a separate piece that slides over the end of your connector here, down the wire a little bit, and then folds back over. more

Today on our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118425. To begin our install we'll first need to open up the rear hatch. Each taillight is secured with 2 fasteners. These are pushpin fasteners that we can take a flat-bladed screwdriver, simply pry out on the center of the fastener to release it, and then remove it. Once we have both fasteners out, we can go ahead and remove the rear taillight assembly. As you remove it be careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. more
