Today, you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to walk you through the installation on the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector on your 2011 Hyundai Sonata. This wiring kit is going to be very easy to install. It's going to plug directly into the factory wiring behind each tail light. You'll have your ground wire you have to mount.It's going to have a converter box, and what this does is it protects your factory wiring from any back feed from the trailer if there is a wiring issue. more

Here on your right we're going to have the Tekonsha, part number 118557. Let's go over some of the differences between these two.Two of the noticeable differences are going to be these boxes right here. These are converter boxes, and what they're going to do is they're going to protect your vehicle from any backfeed if your trailer has a wiring short. The difference between them is, if you notice here on the CURT, the wires come in both sides. more
