Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at installing the CURT custom trailer wiring for a seven-pole on a 2018 GMC Acadia. Your Acadia should have a tow package. And if that's the case, getting seven-pole wiring while having a hitch on your vehicle is a smart move, especially if you ever plan on using a trailer with trailer brakes. This is gonna be a component required for that to work. You're also gonna need to pick up a brake controller separately, but this is also gonna give you your light function, so it's gonna keep you legal when towing a trailer. more

But before we get to that, why don't we just take a minute check this out, make sure it's gonna work for you. People use the Acadia to do a lot of different things which does include some towing. And if that's what you plan on doing obviously you're gonna need a way to light up the trailer lights, that way people around you know what's going on and you'll be safe and legal.
