Today, on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. This is what our wiring's going to look like when it's installed. This is going to give you all the proper lighting functions to safely tow a trailer. Both turn signals, your running lights, and your brake lights. It's also going to come with an attached dust cap that's going to help protect your connections from any dirt and debris. This wiring is compatible with 5-, 6-, and 7-pole adapters, which can be found here at etrailer.com.As far as the installation, it's very simple. more

Installation of the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring on a 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're gonna be installing Curt's 7-Way Trailer Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, Part Number: C56326. This 7-pole connector wiring harness is gonna give you all of your necessary lighting, which includes your left turn, right turn, tail lamps, and brake lamps. It's also gonna give you a charge line to go back to your trailer to charge it's batteries if it has batteries.It's also wired for a brake controller. So, if you install a brake controller in your vehicle, you'll have that back here at your 7-pole connector. The 7-pole connector has a spring loaded door. Inside the door, you'll find a seal. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're gonna be installing Curt's T connector four pole flat trailer connector vehicle wiring harness, part number C56325.This four pole flat trailer connector wiring harness gonna give you all the necessary lighting you need for your trailer. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps so you'll be DOT compliant in all states. Comes with a dust cap to help keep out any dirt and debris, and can also be used to secure it to the safety chain loop on your hitch to hold it up out of the way.The best time to install your wiring is when you're installing your hitch. So, when you've got the hitch installation, many of the hitches require the fascia to be removed, and this will give you the easiest access to your connector. Now, it can be accessed just from underneath without removing the fascia. We'll show you that later on. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package with seven-way trailer connector, part number 118276.In order to help us get this installed, we're gonna be using the Pollak mounting bracket and installation hardware for seven pole RV style trailer connector, part number PK12711U. That's gonna give us a seven way connector at the back, which is gonna give us all of our lights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and also it's gonna give us our brake signal if we decide to put our brake controller in as well. It's gonna include a spring loaded dust cover with a nice weather seal around the edge on the inside to keep all the moisture and debris from getting into our connector. In order for us to get our wiring in place, we are gonna have to have the factory tow package on our vehicle, which we're gonna be using some factory connections points. Now that we've seen what it looks like, let's go ahead and show you how to get it installed.To begin our installation, we're gonna need to find the factory tow package wiring, which if we come to the driver's side and we just look directly up, right behind our bumper, we're gonna have two connectors that we're gonna find. Both of these are the connectors we're gonna need to use, so I'm gonna go ahead and start pulling the wires off of the tabs holding them in place, that way I can bring them down and make them a little bit easier to work with. more

Best 2017 GMC Acadia Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2017 GMC Acadia. Now these are going to be our three options, your seven-pole Tekonsha, your four-pole Tekonsha, and your four-pole Curt. Now all three of these wiring harnesses are going to be very easy to install. These two are going to be single plug, your seven-pole is going to be a double plug. Now all three, they're all going to plug in the same area, it's going to be right here behind the driver's side bumper.So this Tekonsha seven-pole is going to be mainly used for trailers that may have a few extra lights, or maybe used for trailers with trailer brakes. As you can see it has a nice wire cover loom on it to cover your wires to keep the weather out. more

T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we'll be having a look at the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow package and it will give us a 4-pole flat trailer connector. Part 118720. As you see we have plenty of room to connect to our trailer. When we're not using our wiring, we can just take the included dust cover here, slide it over the safety chain loop on our hitch and re-secure your wiring. It's up and out of the way. Here's what our trailer wiring comes with. As you see, very simple kit here. We have our factory tow package connector right here. more
