Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Curt trailer wiring harness here on our 2016 GMC Acadia. So this is what our trailer wiring harness is going to look like installed. Now, granted, we have a couple of different options for securing the trailer connector to the hitch. You can use the dust cap here with the safety chain loops on the trailer hitch or you can opt for a little bit nicer installation, a little bit more permanent by purchasing two separate brackets which secure it to the hitch tube. But essentially, the Curt wiring harness here, it's going to be an excellent option for Arcadia. It's going to allow you to tow your smaller to medium duty trailers. more

Best 2016 GMC Acadia Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be looking at the best wiring options for your 2016 GMC Acadia. So here on the end we're going to have our Tekonsha, which is going to give us a four pull flat trailer connector. The next to that we're going to have our Curt, which is also going to give us a four pull flat trailer connector. And then finally down here on the end, it's going to be another Tekonsha, but it's going to provide us with a 7-Way RV style connector.Now all of these are going to work with a factory connector that's on our vehicle already. It's going to be a square plug and this plug is going to be located on the passenger side up behind the muffler in between the body and the outer bumper. Now each one of our kits is going to come with all the relays and fuses you see here as well as some zip ties. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia we're gonna be taking a look at installing a tow ready T-One vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package four-pole flat trailer connector. Part number one-one-eight-two-seven-zero. Here's what it's gonna look like once it's installed. A really nice feature about this wiring harness is it plugs into your factory harness and does not require any tapping into any wires, or cutting, or splicing. It's gonna plug into a plug that's already on your vehicle and you're gonna install some included fuses and relays. It's gonna run through your factory fuse box, then you know everything's gonna work properly because it was done that way from the factory. more
