Best 2014 GMC Acadia Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be looking at the best wiring options for your 2014 GMC Acadia. So, here on the end, we're doing to have our Tekonsha, which is going to give us a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Then next to that, we're going to have our Curt, which is also going to give us a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Then finally, down here on the end, it's going to be another Tekonsha, but it's going to provide us with a 7-Way RV style connector.Now all of these are going to work with a factory connector that's on our vehicle already. It's going to be a square plug, and this plug is going to be located on the passenger side, up behind the muffler, in between the body and the outer bumper. Each one of our kits is going to come with all the relays and fuses you see here, as well as some zip ties. more

To help us with our installation, we're going to be using the tow-ready mounting bracket for 4-pole flat trailer connectors, part number 18144. Here's everything that's going to come with our wiring. Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 GMC Acadia, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package with a 7-way trailer connector, part number 118271. To help us what our installation. We're going to be using the Pollack mounting bracket and installation hardware for 7-pole and RV style trailer connectors. Here's what our wiring is going to look like once we have it installed.Now, I do want to mention that the bracket is sold separately, but you can pick it up here at etrailer.com. Our wiring's going to provide us with the 7-way RV style trailer connector. Which is going to give us all of our lighting functions like our stop lights, our taillights, and our turn signals, as well as the option of putting a brake controller later, if our trailer has electric brakes.Now it's going to have this nice dust cover that's spring loaded to keep all the dirt and debris out, make sure we don't get any water or moisture buildup inside. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 GMC Acadia, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package, with a four pole flat trailer connector. Part number C56245.So here's what our wiring's gonna look like once we have it installed on our Acadia. It is gonna stay on the outside of the vehicle at all times. It's gonna provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector, which is gonna give us all of our lighting functions, such as our taillights, turn signals, and our stop lights.We're gonna have a dust cover to keep all the dirt and debris out. We can actually use it, also to attach our four pole to our hitch, that way it's not hanging down when we're driving down the road. Now as far as installing the harness it's gonna be an extremely straight forward installation. more
